@CitySceneSTL I’ve followed you for a long time and I always appreciate your updates and perspective. So many enter this discussion with nothing but sweeping takes and no solutions. It is possible to acknowledge the work to be done while not giving in to doomerism and apathy.

@jjobrien29 @QuintonLucasKC This is the kind of love that I wish Missouri’s two main cities could show each other more often rather than the constant dick measuring. Both have outstanding features. I recommend the Negro League Museum and Boulevard to anyone who will listen. Midwesterners unite

@QuintonLucasKC Been to St. Louis probably 30-40 times. Worked there one summer a few years back. Never understood the negativity. There are great places to visit, world class restaurants, top sporting venues and the craft beer scene is second to none. Always meet great people there.

I know there’s no city more dunked on internally and externally than StL, but I was downtown last week for a meeting, lunch, and dinner. Crowded at night w/a Blues game. Full spots on Wash Ave. Lunch hour pedestrian traffic. It doesn’t have NYC pedestrian activity, but few do.

Want to give a shout out to my teammate @coachbrucepearl. Doing your first selection show is hard enough. Doing it under these circumstances was especially difficult. He handled it like a true pro and a mensch. Now on to the games!

I asked the question and that was the answer the commissioner gave. Nobody got screwed here as it's always close but Auburn was better than SMU in 5 out of 7 metrics and the number and quality wins aren't even close. AU beat 3 Power 5 Conference Champs! SMU OOCSOS 191 AUBURN 16
