It's going to get annoying, as this is going to embolden hollywood yet again to double down on DEI and the Woke agenda. The reality is that the race swap and the trans actor only exist in the film for a few minutes each and aren't even a "real problem". The larger issue is that the story was changed to subvert the core Western Mythos, and this film is going to contribute to the erosion of the West. As many people said, woke and DEI aren't defeated. Far from it... and it only retreated temporarily as it "regrouped". The film has not yet broken even, as it needs over $650 million to break even to cover marketing costs and overhead.

I've been thinking about Shiloh's case all morning. Regardless if you agree or disagree with what happened - It is absolutely insane that the offensiveness of the "n-word" is predicated entirely on the skin colour of the person saying it. You'd never see a black person being charged for using it. And it's actually so normal that it is used in music, film, shows, popular speech among black Americans. But if a White person says it, in ANY context, now it's a problem? Now it becomes offensive? You basically forfeit your life if you use the same word that black Americans call each other every day. Remaking Halo and then deliberately hiding every mention and appearance of an annoying girlboss character who's constantly in the player's face is a terrible look for Xbox. Especially when they're trying to save a brand that's spent years in the gutter and become the laughingstock of the entire gaming industry. Seriously, if they were going to include a character like that, they would have been better off not making those extra missions at all. Actually, they would have been better off never remaking Halo in the first place. The entire project has been unnecessary from day one. Seriously, Xbox, you are by far the dumbest video game company I've ever seen. I've never seen a brand go so far out of its way to sabotage itself the way Xbox does. I haven't even played it yet. The copy I got as a gift on Steam doesn't unlock until the 28th, so I'll get to see for myself just how much damage they managed to do to the franchise.
