Yesterday was a big day for my professional and personal life.
I have completed my PhD in the @MPI_EvolBio and @kieluni in the EnvGen group of @EvaStukenbrock and I could not be happier 🥳🤩
Thank you so much for all the people that have helped me in a way or another (1/4)
@MarioNawfal Yea, there needs to be enough people so many are unemployed and wages are kept low and inflation under control. Also, who wil pay for the retirement of governimemt workers in countries like Brazil. Is that what the concern is?
Japan’s falling birth rate is threatening social collapse.
Prime minister Fumio Kishida warned that Japan is on the verge of not being able to function.
Other countries are facing the same problem.
And yet we insist there’s a secret elite trying to reduce population.
Why?

@SteveStuWill Like any idea. Finding the truth is harder than making associations to presented or expected archetypes. People settle for the lowest effort option, most of the time.
Mental illness - or rather, self-diagnosed mental illness - can spread via social media. Adolescents, in particular, pick up symptoms and diagnoses from each other, adopting them as identities. doi.org/10.1016/j.comp…
@SteveStuWill Those are great words. Sadly, if you are not an extremist you don’t get media coverage or things done. It seems people want to either build crazy shit or tear it all down. Moderates don’t give audience or click-bait thumbnails. Our kids will have to fix it.
"I have one consistency, which is being against the totalitarian – on the left and on the right. The totalitarian, to me, is the enemy; the one that's absolute, the one that wants control over the inside of your head, not just your actions and your taxes."

I used to think that turning the other cheek was weak & foolish, but I was the fool for not appreciating its profound wisdom.
