Today, the @UAE marks Solidarity Day under the principle of responding to provocation with stability, cohesion, and confidence. This mirrors @Somaliland’s approach. Despite sustained provocations in Las Anod, we chose restraint, diplomacy, and results over escalation.

On January 17 each year, we reflect on the resolve, unity and solidarity shown by the people of the UAE – standing proudly behind their national flag to safeguard the country’s achievements and uphold its global standing. We invite everyone across the UAE to follow our national media channels, which will broadcast the national anthem at 11:00 am tomorrow, Saturday, as we renew our pledge and determination to continue advancing and elevating our beloved country.

Just a simple fact: HSM failed to unify Mogadishu, Garowe, and Kismayo. He has miserably failed to build a functional Somali National Army and still relies on foreign troops for protection. He failed to establish a credible electoral system in Somalia, yet imagines he can dictate anything within Somaliland’s borders. Lasanod is Somaliland, and we are committed to resolving differences through dialogue and peaceful means. HSM must put his own house in order—starting with a reliable electoral system that allows Somalis to choose better leadership. Somaliland’s recognition is now a reality, and no one can change that. #SomalilandRecognition

تُدين حكومةُ جمهوريةِ صوماليلاند بشدّة التصريحاتِ الصادرةَ عن حكومةِ الصومال، والتي تدعو إلى تدخلٍ عسكريٍّ أجنبيٍّ ضدّ جمهوريةِ صوماليلاند. وتُعدّ هذه التصريحاتُ تصعيدًا خطيرًا وانتهاكًا واضحًا لميثاقِ الأمم المتحدة والقانونِ الدولي. فصوماليلاند ليست خاضعةً لسلطةِ مقديشو، وتُحمِّل حكومةُ جمهوريةِ صوماليلاند حكومةَ الصومال المسؤوليةَ الكاملة عن عواقب هذا الخطاب، وتدعو الشركاءَ الدوليين إلى رفضه، وتؤكّد في الوقت ذاته التزامَها بالسلام، مع احتفاظها بحقِّها في الدفاع عن النفس وفقًا للقانون الدولي.
