@skeleoncemore I miss Tyranny, it was so peak from a bronze-ish age tech level to spell making to the edicts and lore. The ending would have been such a good set up for a sequel with bigger stakes and everything :/

I worry that this will end very badly. Obsidian hasn’t released a great RPG in over a decade. Outer worlds 2 was trash and worse than 1 (which was already not good) and Avowed was AWFUL. Their last 3 RPG’s all flopped. The fact they were even planning an Avowed 2 is terrifying…

@superfeyn Totally agreed, I did a quick try out, not going for all the sidequests etc just checking it out myself to avoid the issue. I am super excited for it but I hope they add some more new options for character creation. It feels a bit too barren rn, considering it is a sequel.

@tct_adventures Yes please on dice rolls. I know it can allow for cheesing and whatnot but it really helps me get in the mood of it a la old Infinity Engine games :)

@ChristinaTasty There is a version with gfwl patched out on archive org if you haven’t seen it :). I also quite liked 3 for some of the things. I am going to keep an open mind for the new one, the combat system looks like it combined 2-3 and 1 with spells being more diverse like in 1.

My bar is not high. I unironically enjoy Fable III to the point I will struggle with patching out Games For Windows Live just to replay it again.
But I see corporate beige washing over this game like a cloud. From the realistic character designs to the removal of basic features.

As much as I rant about it, I criticise Nu-Fable because I love the originals so much and I WANT Nu-Fable to be good.
I'm still suffering from Saints Row PTSD. I don't think I can take another series I love dying due to trademark corporate blandness smothering it to death.

@wesleytypes Have they mentioned if there will be morphing based on skills etc? I kind of liked the visual changes and lines glowing as I mastered will, muscles with might etc

There will be NO character morphing based on morality in the new Fable.
"That sort of character morphing feature, obviously a really central part of the original games. It's not in ours."
I'm sure this is the next big controversy for fans, but honestly I'm fine with it.

@AlisonCybe Dang it I misread that. I thought it was in London and some independent store (I still consider London a capital city in Europe in my mind). But yeah I don’t have pics but I was at a huge store in Amsterdam too it was fun. Any recommendations for good lgbtq friendly places in UK?
