@markcecchini Man, it really is amazing how much clients respect those boundaries and articulate why you have them. Makes the relationship that much more solid! Couldn’t agree more. For me, it’s no early morning meetings, allows me to walk my kids to school every morning. Love the content!

I live on the East Coast, but serve clients in 16 states 40%+ of them live in the Pacific Time Zone it surprises people when I tell them I very rarely take meetings after 5:00p ET unless something is truly urgent my clients respect that boundary, and the modern workday is flexible enough for them to take shorter, virtual non-work meetings to make it work could I get more West Coast clients / discovery bookings / etc if I opened up my Calendly hours from 8a - 8p ET? absolutely. but I'm not willing to sacrifice family time at all right now.

Experiment today Possession + Dominoes Game 2v2+2 (high and below goalline passers) The first team to complete a pass to both support players w/o losing possession gets a 4v2 w/ a variable shot clock to score

All of these little 1v1 variations can now be used as the start to any and all DZ coverage work and tactical work for scoring and OZ play. They can also be used to start breakout drills. Lots of game context and variability.

Running a little spring “tune up” session for the next couple months. Trying to use what I’ve learnt so far on RLD & CLA. Warm up drill. Always trying to improve. Shout out to @drewcarlsonhp @csevs19 @briangillam66 @CoachRevak for inspiration. youtu.be/9b7T5akrmHM?si…

Hey Coaches. I have been Zoom meeting with a couple other coaches to share ideas around using an Ecological Dynamics approach to player development. If you are interested in learning more about this approach and want to dig in to the topic DM me. @HEOhockey

A lot of my actions and guidance to clients are not geared around "What can I do with my portfolio". By taking market timing off the table - it leaves us free to focus on "what IS within our control". What would you focus on if you couldn't touch your portfolio?

Ran this last practice… such a good drill. So many elements and different type of looks that directly translate to games. Practice Clip. Game Clip. (Same player) Love it @csevs19 Thanks for sharing.
Chris Sevier@csevs19

Conditioning is dumb part 2. 1v1 2v2-through the gate 2v2 or 3v3 down low Problem solving, battles, different challenges, rotate 1 player from each team every 3-4 min. Keep score and watch the intensity. You will have to make them take a break.

@csevs19 Ran this the last two practices and the players (U11) loved it… and could tell it translated well to the first game after the two practices. Players were actively trying to find each other and move to open space. Keep posting and sharing!

“Conditioning” is dumb. 2v2 keep away(3 passes is a point) 2v2 sag (winner stays) Earn your way into the sag. Battling, tired, making mistakes, some adversity, having fun. Give them a reason to battle harder and support their teammates.

@MarkMcGrathCFP Love it… also, with this strategy, I find clients are “pleasantly surprised” that they are still on track, and their financial world isn’t ending, after poor investment years like 2022…

I build fairly conservative financial plans. Client today noted that as time goes on, their plan keeps getting better and better. Since returns are better than planned for, and other surprises were to their benefit, their future looks brighter and brighter.

@RealBudgetBoss @MarkMcGrathCFP This. As a fellow advisor told me when I first started in the industry almost two decades ago, you need three things to truly be DIY. Time, Knowledge and Desire. Missing any one of those, having a quality advisor is usually a good idea.

@MarkMcGrathCFP As an advisor, I have clients that DESPERATELY need me. I also have ones that I know could likely do it on their own. The ppl who say no one needs an advisor have not sat with enough ppl to understand how little most know. To the advisors who think they are king shit, grow up.

Should some people fire their advisor? Yes. Would some DIYers benefit from a good advisor? Also yes. The whole "nobody needs an advisor" thing is nonsense and needs to go away.

Canadian Tax Guy (Mohammed Al-khooly)
Not many people actually know what the tax rates are in Canada. So here are the personal income tax rates for Ontario, BC, and Alberta. Most provinces are relatively similar. Note that this does not include tax credits which will reduce your taxes further or CPP/EI which increase it. Keep in mind tax rates are marginal, so your income isn’t subject to a single tax rate.
