The most basic welfare a state can offer its youth is free, fair, and timely recruitment exams. In Rajasthan, 17 of 19 major recruitment exam papers were allegedly leaked during Ashok Gehlot’s tenure. Since Bhajan Lal Sharma took over, there hasn’t been a single reported leak. A total of 296 major and minor exams have been conducted without leaks. Recruitment calendars are announced, exams are held on time, and the process has remained largely transparent and cheat-free. This contrast shows that the problem was never unsolvable, it was a question of intent and execution. Why it wasn’t fixed earlier is open to interpretation.
