"VIPs are part of the road crash mess and are the biggest problem on our roads. They drive on wrong sides of the road. Their chauffeurs drive as if they have cocaine in their heads. The problem starts from the top,"- MP Silas Aogon #MonitorUpdates 📸 @Roland4Nas

Speed is associated with road traffic crashes in Uganda. For Built-up places and places with vulnerable road users such as Schools, Towns, Hospitals, Markets, Churches... maintain low speed to save lives, reduce injury severity in case of a road crash.

Driver, Vehicle UBE 984 M. Black. On 30th Nov. 2025. This Driver stopped at every crossing point on Ggaba road to let Vulnerable Road Users Cross. Even a dog followed 2 women crossing & it crossed too. Very impressive. KUDOS TO U. I wish drivers can respect crossing points.

Makerere University School of Public Health
Interactive panel discussions on Alumni in Public Health Careers and Perspectives on Mentorship gave students practical insights into navigating Uganda’s dynamic public health landscape. Through personal reflections, alumni from academia, government, NGOs, and the private sector shared how mentorship, leadership, and continuous learning have shaped their professional journeys. In closing, Assoc. Prof. @Suexane, Head of the Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management, commended the event for translating MakSPH’s mentorship vision into practice. She encouraged students to take charge of their career growth through active mentorship and reflection, drawing inspiration from alumni shaping Uganda’s health systems and global practice.

Kiryandongo Hospital lacks capacity to manage emergencies from road crashes. I imagine how it was after the Gulu crash where over 46 people died while others injured. I see money for Victims and yet our health care is wanting. Really.. @Afrika_Usalama @Akeda4

RC Entebbe Base Equips Katabi Health Centre III! On Friday, 10th October 2025, RC Entebbe Base, led by President Eva Mugide, made another impactful stride in supporting Maternal and Child Health by donating essential medical equipment to Katabi Health Centre III. The donation, which included two state-of-the-art delivery beds, two wheelchairs, two stretchers, and a medical screen, follows the club’s earlier renovation of the maternity ward through tiling and painting works. The equipment was raised through the Corporate Sponsorships Directorate led by President-Elect Roger Sembeguya, and were officially received by the hospital in-charge, Dr. Stephen Kuwereka, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Entebbe Division A, Mr. Moses Amanyire. This marks yet another milestone in the Club’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare and uplifting the well-being of the Entebbe community. 🙏🏿✨ photos.app.goo.gl/qdPULj1oybHbwt…
