For the last month I worked on a non-bs guide to crypto GTM. To anchor it in real-world examples, I spoke with founders & early team members of Aave, ZORA, POAP, Snapshot, L2Beat, Zerion, SushiSwap & others to find how they unlocked their growth. Now the guide is finally out👇

@ranjan3118 i guess you already tried it but I lately asked LLMs to find best practices to avoid landing in spam and helped to improve subject lines and body

Figma is my biggest AI disappointment so far. Make is a mid product - buggy, misses obvious use cases and chatting with AI is terrible. I'd love to keep using Figma, but it's just easier to chat with Claude Code. Strange, given how great product leader @zoink has been.

@tszzl It's less romantic but Iain Banks' Culture is the best AI bull case we got

the romantic human aspect of space colonization-placing our flags on other worlds-is redundant with robots and Von Neumann replicators unfortunately. the mars colony will be robots. ppl can join, but as consumers of an experience rather than critical parts of novel adventures

US not being prepared for the Iran conflict reminds me of the opening of the classic 1944 essay called "Fighting the Last War"

can't understand why for so many years designers followed this horrible trend of drawing long-legged and small-headed figures. thankfully it's over.

@adamscochran Not gonna happen. If he abandones the Strait, the EU and China will strike a deal with Iran. And Israel won't like it.

Is there no place to simply get news on Iran, Israel, the Gulf, US forces and the Middle East? Everyone is cheerleading for something or the other. I want to know what is actually happeing to first approximation. How are you accomplishing this if at all? Thx in advance.

@dwr there are many of them, there's a Polish one that's used in Ukraine an costs $3k. the question is why they haven't been deployed in the Gulf before the US attacked Iran

the anti-shahed interceptor drone being used successfully in ukraine costs <$10,000 and is made by an american company narrative violation

@rainer_volz Haha Das Kapital's polar opposite. Read it two years ago. It was the most poorly written book I have ever finished in my life but at least I can reference it now 😁

What are the most name-dropped books or authors that people reference without actually reading them? I'll start:

@marty_kausas @ai Reminds me of my last month when there was a $1 app I didn't want to pay for. I built a replacement but spent 3 hours and $7 worth of API tokens to save $1.

@ai $10-15k is not expensive. I guarantee your team’s time is worth way more investing than building and iterating on a CRM

We built a CRM on top of Notion for our fund (deal pipeline, LP tracking, contact scoring, analytics) in ~2 weeks using Claude Code + Notion agents. Our system does what some platforms are charging $10-15K/year do for institutional investors, except it's custom-fit to how we actually work. Build vs SaaS is real. Vertical SaaS might get disrupted by its own customers.

@makemake_kbo @DeanEigenmann Tldr: Chinese growth is slowing down, so it's a good way to strengthen national pride. Plus Xi wants legacy and he promised One China.

genuine question, there were already conversations of us being in a proxy WW3 with the Ukraine / Russia war and all the international interests in the conflict that conflict has now spread to the middle east and both directly influence each other dragging in even more nations when would one consider this a WW3 beyond the meme naming?

yeah, US overextending gives them leverage for this. the reason theyve only been sabre-rattling for the past decade is cuz they 1) cant rly invade it 2) would nuke their economy. the us has been actively killing its diplomacy and alliances so if it keeps going down this path the 2) issue for china slowly goes away. sanctions on their economy for a potential taiwan invasion become much less of a problem? their biggest trade partners either have a neutral opionon or fucking hate them so they need to tread carefully here. the question now is why not and i still think its that they wont really accomplish any tactical victories by doing so. only propaganda wins by getting rid of the KMT, which is a good enough war goal but apparently not enough to risk ruining trade. if they havent done it so far, i doub it will happen in the near future
