True development is not just spoken about—it is built. The work at Lake Gwayi-Shangani is proof of that. I will continue sharing until completion.
Well done to the 2nd Republic Government for this legacy project.

This morning at State House, I had the distinct pleasure of receiving a generous donation of 10 brand new, state-of-the-art ambulances equipped with the latest medical technologies including respirators, oxygen delivery systems, defibrillators and advanced patient monitoring units. These ambulances were formally handed over to the Minister of Health and Child Care for onward distribution across all Provinces to strengthen emergency response capacity and improve access to critical healthcare services. In addition, I handover 200,000 litres of diesel, which will directly support the effective deployment and sustained operation of these life-saving units.
This donation has been made possible through the generosity of an astute and maverick young businessman @wicknellchivayo who has a golden heart and continues to tirelessly support various key Government programmes under Vision 2030, which is anchored on modern healthcare systems that leave “No one and No place behind”.
I extend my sincere appreciation to @wicknellchivayo for this gesture, which exemplifies the critical role of the private sector in complementing Government’s efforts to deliver quality service delivery in the health sector. Such partnerships between Government and indigenous businesses reaffirm my administration’s matra that “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo”, and I urge other businesspeople within the private sector to emulate this gesture and exemplary conduct. My Administration remains resolute in its focus on strengthening the healthcare system and ensuring that Zimbabwe transitions to world-class health standards as we advance towards an upper middle-income economy by 2030.

NDS2: ZUPCO Buses Offer Affordable Commutes
That is a significant relief for many. The re-introduction of Zimbabwe United Passenger Company (ZUPCO) buses on intercity and urban-to-peri-urban routes addresses a major pain point for commuters who have been at the mercy of fluctuating private fares. At US$0.50 per trip, the pricing is a stark contrast to the US$1.00 or more often charged by private commuter omnibuses (kombis) for similar distances, especially during peak hours or rainy weather. This move aligns with the broader push under Vision 2030 to modernize and subsidize public transport, making it more accessible to the general workforce.
Key Benefits of the Intervention
✍🏽Cost Predictability: Fixed government-regulated fares prevent the "surge pricing" often seen with private players.
✍🏽Market Regulation: The presence of ZUPCO often forces private operators to keep their prices competitive to avoid losing passengers.
✍🏽Increased Capacity: Utilizing larger 64-seater buses helps move higher volumes of people more efficiently than 15-seater kombis, reducing congestion at major ranks like Mbare Musika or the City Hall in Bulawayo.
Current Network Reach
ZUPCO has been progressively deploying its fleet across several key divisions:
✍🏽Northern Division: Headquartered at Mbare Musika, servicing routes to places like Mutare, Kariba, and Rushinga.
✍🏽Southern Division: Operating from Makhokhoba, covering routes to Victoria Falls, Beitbridge, and Gwanda.
✍🏽Peri-Urban Routes: Critical links to satellite towns such as Chitungwiza, Norton, and Ruwa where the US$0.50 fare provides the most direct daily impact.
The sustainability of this service often depends on consistent fleet maintenance and the timely commissioning of new batches of buses.

Mukuru Wemazuva doesn’t just dream big he delivers big
In a bold move of family pride and national investment, he has gifted a brand-new 67-seater bus (valued at US$197,000) and injected US$250,000 into Avelion FC a rising football powerhouse owned by his brothers.
This isn’t just support
It’s nation-building through sport, creating jobs, inspiring youth, and putting Zimbabwean talent on the map
While others talk, Chivayo builds
While others wait, he invests
This is legacy in motion

Addressing the media today at the Party Headquarters in Harare, ZANU PF National Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha remarked that the Party is seized with the constitutional amendments agenda under Constitutional Amendment Bill No 3 which seeks to extend the life of Parliament from 5 to 7 years and to align the Parliamentary Elections and local government elections so that they follow a seven year cycle.
