Brayden Schenn trade: Figured after the trade was made, we'd see JG Pageau traded to recoup some assets because Schenn could've naturally replaced him for two seasons. First I'll go positive, for those that are excited: -Schenn can play play 3C, below the second line of Lee-Pageau-Holmstrom. In those minutes, there is a good chance he can be decent because he is punching above his weight class in the top six. Now, the negatives. I'm worried Patrick Roy will play him top-six minutes, he cannot hang there anymore. Without Jordan Kyrou on his wing the results are atrocious in that deployment. Next, it's just an overpay for a 34-year-old who is at best a good 3C. Intangibles mean a lot to me, but the intangibles Palat brought over was enough for me. Lastly, in a fun season with extra cap-space and assets we ended up in Carson Soucy, Ondřej Palát and Brayden Schenn. Ultimately, I'm dissapointed.
