@MBryanOK @GasBuddyGuy Not asking me but the Iran conflict driving global prices up + Indiana refinery outage are the biggest contributors to Michigan prices.

@shots_goal @lhamtil They are also confused and have no idea how to navigate any of the new agentic workflows. It's a ripe sales opportunity for anyone with competent team.

@lhamtil This is still pretty bad - even if they don’t fully rip and replace, your customers are coming into the negotiations armed w more weapons.

From Carlyle on AI displacing SaaS: The market may have already overshot. Our proprietary survey of AI integration efforts finds that only 11% of management teams expect AI to replace existing software subscriptions. mailchi.mp/carlyle/the-ca…

@SavneetS @BrokenMoats @WeatherPundit @sevencornerscap Good example is BK still not at full run rate while expenses are. This can be difficult to communicate, but the minimal churn should lend some more credibility to the story. Suggest many on here go and talk to real customers at corp logos if possible. It's eye opening.

@SavneetS @BrokenMoats @WeatherPundit @sevencornerscap I am not pleased with the share price nor with the convert deal. But credit is due to @SavneetS and team for the software platform they have put together. Enterprise QSR operates at such a different cadence than traditional software that it leads to odd financials short term.

@chat_SBC Yep. I did a search on Twitter for the most negative takes related to software quality and commoditized features. Basically who has the shittiest products and best sales teams. Theoretically they could vastly improve their product in short order.

Unpopular opinion- but ironically the more commoditized sw names like MNDY could be most AI-proof as they have always had a ton of competition/easy switching so AI doesn’t change the dynamic much. vs if AI does make switching for SAP easier it’s a step change in moats arguably shouldn’t be as big a disparity between SOR and stuff like MNDY anymore

My feed is full of people asking "Why is X software name down 3% again today?" And I really want you to invert it. The question you need to ask is "Why wouldn't it be?" I'm not saying it's right or wrong. I'm not saying it's fair. But those are the facts on the ground.

Some people may think @McDonalds can over-engineer some things. McD is extremely meticulous in everything they do. They have a plan, a backup plan, and they understand how to roll out huge initiatives, execute, and maintain something across 14,000 restaurants at once. It’s not easy. While it may be cumbersome sometimes, this is the difference between McD and many of their competitors. McD dictates every step with a book while others have an idea and everyone is on their own. 👇📕

What is this? A 426 page book on how to run a McDonald’s? Nope. Training manual for rolling out the gold standard in fresh beef. It’s working out pretty dang well so it was worth the read.

Must read from @akramsrazor The market has completely given up on trying to figure out who wins from AI. It will only buy the inputs. But: "If you can't make money in every software, adtech, media, info services biz, and hyperscaler, then why are you buying lasers and cables? The picks-and-shovels trade isn’t insulated from the demand/return question, it's a levered bet on it."

@McFranchisee Is this just a complete lack of coordination from corporate and vendor management? If corporate mandates vendors and the software it would seem they have to provide a solution for instances like this.

This whole Windows ESU license update is an absolute disaster. Every single device running Windows 10 now needs a new $200 license from headset systems to kiosks. All the vendors you bought this equipment from are not equipped to track you down later and ensure compliance. Every week I get an urgent 11th hour email giving me 24 hours to provide a vendor information I don’t readily have, or else I risk going dark. As if restaurants weren’t already difficult to operate, this just adds more headaches. Anyone else fighting the same fight?

No one is ripping out SAP or any ERP. If they're doing anything besides stocking with SAPs AI solution they are going to 3P support like Rimini Street that has an agentic AI offering that they run on top while maintaining core ERP.

I would be so so so curious to meet the guy willing to put his career on the line by ripping out SAP to replace it with Claude I would also like to know if this is a public company so I can short it

@intellionaire the automotive pivot is their best shot but that's a 2028+ revenue ramp at best. and by then every OEM with a software team is gonna want their own silicon too. same playbook, different vertical

"Apple's transition to its own internally designed 5G modems will result in a $7 billion to $8 billion annual revenue loss for Qualcomm by late 2027." - Vivek Arya, Bank of America. BofA's Arya put an Underperform on $QCOM with a $145 PT. Handset revenue guided down 13% YoY to $6B, the lowest in 10 quarters. Apple's 5G modem transition strips $7-8B annually by late 2027. Arya sees 2% revenue CAGR through 2028. That's a stagnation call on what used to be a growth name. 🔗 markets.financialcontent.com/wral/article/m… $QCOM #semiconductors
