All vessels are sanctioned and were sailing in ballast, with movements recorded only in the east-to-west direction, underscoring the ongoing disruption to normal maritime flows through this critical chokepoint. BREAKING: President Trump is now considering pulling out from the Strait of Hormuz, forcing US allies to defend it.

Check out “DARK SHIPS SAR” Tab. When ships disable their AIS transponders ("going dark"), they disappear from standard tracking. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)satellites can physically detect vessel hulls from space using radio waves, regardless of whether the transponder is on. This overlay uses Global Fishing Watch(GFW), a free open-data platform backed by Google, Oceana, and SkyTruth, which fuses terrestrial AIS, satellite AIS, and SAR imagery to show vessel presence, including dark ships.
