As of today, SPEDN has officially been shut down. What started as a proof of concept helped demonstrate for the world what instant, fraud-proof digital payments can be—and laid the foundation for what comes next. Thank you to everyone for your 7 years of Spedning! 💜 spedn.io

Consistency beats perfection I am by no means perfect, but I am consistent 2 years ago, I jumped into my friend’s (now trainer’s) yearly fitness challenge The reason I signed up? - I had been doing the same workout routine for a couple years and was bored - I was injured (and exercising improperly) - I wanted muscle and strength growth but didn’t know what to do I needed help getting unstuck My trainer’s fitness challenge did just that and I haven’t looked back since I completed 230/230 new habits (consisting of healthy eating, lifting, walking, meditating, etc.) in 30 days and won I wasn’t ready to be done when that challenge ended so I asked my friend about how I could become one of his clients And after one conversation, it was time to keep the momentum going The goal: get in the best shape of my life by lifting consistently After a few months of lifting, my trainer asked me if there were any exercise competitions I might interested in training for I had honestly never thought about competing in one before The only events I had ever done in the past were 5ks I decided to couple my lifting with running and start training for a half marathon With the guidance of my trainer and by showing up daily, I finished that half marathon in 1:43 (7:50 mile pace) I haven’t run a faster one to this day I ended up injuring my knee and Achilles in that race and was out of running commission for a couple months My trainer reprogrammed my workout routine to: - strengthen the muscles around these areas - include exercises that simulated running movements After a few months of discipline and consistency, I started feeling so confident in my running that I decided to sign up for my next challenge: a marathon I trained for the marathon for 8 months and ran a half marathon almost every weekend in preparation By no means was it easy, but man did it feel good to push myself farther and farther Come race day last November, everything was going well until mile 18 when my headphones died and my left leg was screaming to pull over But I didn’t, because more than anything I wanted to finish strong I finished that marathon in 3:45 (8:36 mile pace) and couldn’t be happier given all of the work I had put in On top of the running accolades, my last couple years have consisted of several other personal achievements To name a few - My deadlift: 135 → 340lbs for 3 reps My bench press: 135 → 240lbs for 2 reps I re-comped my body: I lost 19.5 Ibs over the first three months of last year and replaced the majority of that with muscle What did it take to achieve all of this? Being all in Being committed Being consistent Trusting the process What’s my next challenge? Half Ironman in December and I will get it done Whether it’s exercise or something else you want to pursue The secret isn’t being perfect every day It’s being consistent and showing up for yourself

Yesterday I used @coinbase for the “everything exchange” we’re building it to be by buying my first stock there What I actually bought was a fractional share ($50 worth) of NVDA Access to high-priced stocks is just another way Coinbase is ensuring economic freedom for all NFA

🚨NEW: New details are emerging about the latest legislative text outlining a compromise on stablecoin yield and rewards, along with early reactions from crypto industry leaders who reviewed it today. According to an internal stakeholder email shared with me, the proposal would prohibit platforms from offering yield “directly or indirectly” for holding a stablecoin or in a manner that resembles a bank deposit. The restriction would apply broadly to digital asset service providers (exchanges, brokers, etc.) and their affiliates to limit workarounds, and would bar anything “economically or functionally equivalent” to interest. The proposal would also permit activity-based rewards tied to user activity, including loyalty, promotional, or subscription programs, provided they are not deemed economically or functionally equivalent to interest. It would also direct the @SECGov, @CFTC, and @USTreasury to jointly define permissible rewards and establish anti-evasion rules within one year. One industry leader who reviewed the text today tells me the draft is a “departure” from what had been previously discussed with the White House, warning the “economic equivalence” standard is vague and could be interpreted more restrictively by future regulators. They also point to limits on tying rewards to balances or transaction amounts, which could make incentives difficult to structure. “Overall, this is a more narrow and restrictive approach toward crypto,” they said. Another says the text is “largely in line with expectations” and reflects a balanced outcome, preserving transaction-based incentives while making clear stablecoins cannot function like interest-bearing deposit accounts. “This is the best possible result,” they said, noting that the text is broader than the initial Tillis-Alsobrooks proposal, which would have been more restrictive on crypto. Up next: Bank reps are set to review the text tomorrow.

🚨#Giants RB Cam Skattebo says CTE is fake and calls it an “excuse.” “You think CTE is a real thing?” Skattebo: “No. It’s an excuse.” Skattebo, 24, also believes asthma is an excuse. “Yeah, just literally breathe air.”

Two questions: Aside from @JasonWeyl, @immutablevalue and @Jehoseph, is there anyone on here who believes Flexa / $AMP still have a pulse? We’re past mid-March. Can anyone explain Flexa’s complete silence since January? Never seen a company exhibiting such poor communication.

Arguably my favorite part of this rewards/yield debate has been when bankers say “if we allow this, then we’ll see massive deposit flight.” Crypto has already been offering rewards/yield on stablecoins FOR YEARS. Where is the deposit flight? Is it in the room with us right now?
