I have long ago reached the lucky position where nobody who pays me can tell me what to do or say. They know not even to try.
I don’t need anybody’s money. I’ve worked long and hard all my life for my own financial independence. I have never inherited a penny (but I did benefit from wonderful parents who wanted me to have the education they never had).
And it makes me my own man.
I have no interest in what Rupert Murdoch or anybody else thinks of my writing or broadcasting.
