After much thought, I have decided to permanently switch my social media names from Animated to MadaCollects. Ever since I was a child, collecting has always been a part of my life. Rocks, coins, cards, paintings, and now NFTs. I simply love and have loved searching out unique and beautiful artifacts that bring beauty and joy into my life. Part of this identity shift is to mark a change in my approach. My goal moving forward will be to do a significantly better job displaying the collection I have amassed. This means build out a website, work with local business and museums to display the works, and look to new ways I can proudly share these works to friends and family. This name change also more accurately reflects who I am as a person (iykyk) and who I want to be. I have obviously been vocal about collecting art in this space, but also collecting memories and friendships. I will prioritize people, projects, and artists that embody the idea of p^p. I have always said that my favorite thing about the NFT space is how remarkable the people are. Let’s not forget that this space can be so so much fun. Overall, my direction won’t change all that much but the intentionality certainly will. I am excited for the future and hope you are too. Per usual, be careful of scammers. My wallets are the same and will only use verified platforms for buys/trades.

@Ali3n_Mafia @Zeneca To be honest I have been a collector for a long time. I have been slowly selling some of my grails for the last five years. Never imagined selling but also would never buy the cards at some of these prices which is an indication to me that it’s good to sell

@MadaCollects @Zeneca That's the thing I'm trying to understand: if I can ever get some OP cards cheaper. But these buyers are not just going to panic sell overnight, but who knows?

Collecting Pokemon cards reminds me soooo much of collecting NFTs in 2021/2022 - it’s FUN - prices just go up - there is absurd speculation - mainstream media attention - many people think this is “just the start” - the term “blue chip investment” lol Seems like the bubble is gonna pop at some point and it’s a matter of when, not if, but it also seems like there’ll be longevity and the hype will come back again in some way shape or form because unlike with NFTs when every project was trying to be “the next Disney”, Pokemon is, well, maybe not quite the next Disney but it’s still freaking POKEMON I missed the boat and haven’t really bought any (beyond some packs just to rip for fun) but I’m pretty keen on buying the inevitable dip when it happens For all I know we could still be months or even a year+ away, but there’s gonna be another crash and i’m gonna be there to buy this time around

Cryptopunks at $70K is one of the best long term risk/reward bets in crypto. The demand for culturally important internet assets is not going away. Most people focus too much on the short term marginal buyer and miss the bigger picture. Just buy, hold, and wait. Feels very likely these are worth significantly more one day.

I think this is the wrong takeaway. Many of the athletes were well beyond their prime and still achieved personal bests. From what I researched, they actually were on incredibly strict workout and nutrition regimens as they are working to actually publish research papers on the outcomes. My main takeaway wasn’t positive though. It felt like a massive advertisement and it will be tough to shake the feeling that they are just trying to sell product. The reality is the absolute top athletes would never jeopardize future Olympic and competitive futures for a quick pay day. With this said, transparency in juicing is a positive as I am sure many still do it but hide it effectively.

My takeaway is more that people training, devoting their lives to preparation, doing everything in their control to optimize for performance (which is what happens in the months and years before the olympics) can’t just be replaced with lazy juicing.

@MadaCollects the collecting itch never goes! hand in hand with being an artist for me. ALways loved collecting, started with Coins, then rocks, Vinyl Records, Prints, Hot Wheels still to this day! ...I wish i had the space for them all, alas most are in storage 😅
