You know what I think is broken That children of working parents have to pay for holiday club, breakfast club and after school club, in order to be able to keep working when children are off school etc But the children of parents who don’t work, get those things for free even though they don’t need them because they’re home and can look after their children These ‘benefits’ should be for those who work full time. Not the other way round

Little void coming back to me after spending 2 months with his new "forever family" Sorry, I just want to rant here. This baby boy left for his new "forever family" 2 months ago. Yesterday, the new owners called me to ask if I would take him back, because he is not compatible with their lifestyle. Of course, I will take him back. I don't trust the new owners to find a suitable home for him. I'm glad they called me. But I don't know what I will do. He is already 6 months old, so it is harder to find a new family for him, since everyone wants a small kitten. I wish someone would fall in love with him <3

@SandyofSuffolk A big reason is that mothers (or fathers) can rarely afford to give up work and a salary to raise there children 24/7. I think it’s awful that children aren’t learning to evolve with necessary abilities needed for school but it’s also very sad that parents miss so much of them.

Going to school aged 5 in 1963 we were all toilet trained, could use cutlery, pens, knew the alphabet, could read Janet and John books, could tell the time, tie our shoelaces and ties, button up our coats and knew our own address. And between then and now somehow it all went wrong. But why?

Last week at school, kids started making fun of my daughter because everyone else bought store dresses and they all started saying she was poor because I made this one myself. I was in shock - the teacher didn't even say anything to stop them. Say a few words, please, I will be very pleased. Thank you very much!! 🌺👗👑 Time moves too fast when you have a little girl. One day she's asking you to tie her shoes, and the next she's rolling her eyes when you offer to help with anything. I'm not a seamstress. Never took a class, barely know how to thread a machine properly. But something inside me said I needed to try. I wanted her to have something made by her mama's hands, something no store could give her. I was panicking about the lace until I posted in one of the sewing groups on the app where I love buying unique handmade supplies for my projects. This amazing seamstress there not only sold me the perfect vintage fabric but walked me through the whole process. I've been part of that community for a while now, even started my own little shop there selling simple pieces I make, so everyone was so supportive and helpful. Three months of late nights after she went to bed. Messed up the sleeves twice, ripped out the bodice completely. But when she tried it on and twirled around our living room like she was in a fairy tale, for just a moment, she was my little girl again. I know she'll outgrow this dress, just like she's outgrowing so many other things. But I hope someday she'll remember that her mom stayed up until midnight for weeks, learning how to sew just so she could have something special.
