@lilyraynyc The new algorithms for the meta apps now prioritize posts that are “original” vs similar variants like it did last year. I think Ai probably had something to do with is as well as too much f the same content from multiple influencers

Google first added the "E" for Experience to E-E-A-T back in 2022. I wrote about that change on the day it happened (link in comments) and since then, the search results have clearly evolved to favor authentic perspectives from real people - think forums, social posts, Medium/Substack - over generic, overly-optimized content. Today's update to AI Mode and AI Overviews pushes that trend further (link also in comments). Among the changes: more outbound links in answers, highlighted subscriptions, new "angles" with in-line links, and - what stood out to me most - a dedicated "Expert Advice" section that links directly to source pages! So now, first-hand experience isn't just a component of demonstrating E-E-A-T; it's actually something that can *drive additional clicks* from AI Overviews and AI Mode. I was recently asked whether writing in the first person and sharing real experiences is worth the effort when producing new content. In many cases, I believe the answer is firmly YES. First-hand experience produces the kind of insight, perspective, and opinions that LLM can't originate on their own. I believe that's exactly what users increasingly seek out, and increasingly what Google's AI features are pulling forward.

🚨stop what you’re doing and pay attention to this this is probably the biggest update google’s rolled out this year starting this september, they’re retiring dynamic search ads and replacing them with ai max this is how they’re moving toward the NEW future of search people don’t just type in short keywords anymore ai tools have trained them to write out more complex queries - ”wireless headphones” → noise cancelling headphones for open office - “bed sheets” → cooling sheets for hot sleepers that don't pill after washing - "running shoes" → best shoes for flat feet marathon training under $150 ai max is built around that shift for those who don't know, ai max is a feature that helps you: - go after relevant searches that might not be on your keyword list - customize ads & select a suitable landing page in real time based on the query it pulls from your website content & existing ads AND combines that with signals like user behavior, search patterns, browsing history then it interprets the real meaning behind each search query: - the implied need or problem - the stage of the buying journey - the context of the search based on that, it decides if the query fits your products and tailors the ad to match say you sell pet carriers. someone searches "do I need to bring something to carry my dog on a plane?" they never mentioned "pet carrier." but according to google, ai max can read between the lines and figure out the intent behind the question it knows this person needs a carrier and adjusts your ad to match that context. and they end up seeing a headline like "TSA-Approved Dog Carriers for Air Travel - Fits Under Seat" on top of that… ai max gives you more control over what goes out in your ads than you had with DSA for example, you can block specific terms from showing up in your ad headlines this is where search is heading and google’s clearly leaning into it very important that you start preparing for this shift right now dial in your account structure, landing pages, and message clarity there’s a reason we put so much focus on this for our clients, especially on the landing page side because whatever you feed the system is what it works with the better your inputs are, the better results you’ll get with ai max

@vedangvatsa Literally, the only response it could give me was, “sorry I only have data up until 2020 for this information” I had to learn how to be so creative with the prompts lol I would ask so obviously for specific information, and it couldn’t even do that based off present information

GPT-3.5 had 175 billion parameters. Llama 3 matched it with 8 billion. That is 20x fewer. Phi-4 has 14 billion parameters. It outperforms GPT-4o on math and graduate-level science benchmarks. A model that runs on a laptop beating one that needs a datacenter. The pattern is consistent. Models are getting smaller and better at the same time. The winning strategy shifted from more parameters to better data. Microsoft trained Phi-4 on curated, textbook-quality synthetic data instead of scraping the entire internet. Quality over quantity. The same lesson every industry learns eventually. This changes who can compete. When frontier performance required trillion-parameter models, only a few labs could play. When 14 billion parameters can match that performance in specific domains, the barrier drops by orders of magnitude. The biggest models may still lead on broad general knowledge. But for most real tasks, a smaller model fine-tuned on good data can match or beat them. 70 to 80 percent of enterprise AI tasks may work better with a focused small model than a giant general one. The future of AI may not be one massive model that does everything. It may be many small models, each doing one thing well. Running locally. No API call. No subscription. The trillion-parameter era may turn out to be a detour, not a destination.
