You clearly don't know what you're talking about. I have made and published over 2 dozen smaller games and made about $2,500 from my games and my upcoming game is expected to double that number. I know that's not a whole lot of money. (Or a full-time living wage) But having any published games and any kind of income from them puts me ahead of most developers on the Internet. (And definitely ahead of your two year old daughter)
