@creation247 @darwintojesus Most of them don't believe in satan. So they want to prove that god is not perfect, so does not exist, and so would not satan if god did not exist. It's boolean logic : if A implies B but A is false so B is false. At least it's not a tautology.

I've never heard an atheist criticize Satan, only God. Why is that?

@Truth_matters20 If "everyone dies" is bad and you are the cause or a cause you did something not good. If "humanity can survive" is good and you are the cause or a cause you did something good. Simple. Efficient. Scalable. Supports fine granularity when analyzing complex examples.

There is no such thing as "good" if you are an atheist.

@MartinTweats Laicism is a fight, atheism is a faith. The main point is you cannot prove or deny god, God, gods, 3/4 of a god by logic. Therefore it's not a matter of proofs but only of faith to believe or not, to be sure or not. And as it can't be sure, be good as for sky as for the land.

Atheism has it's prophets (e.g., Dawkins), it's sacred texts (e.g., Origin Of the Species), it's temples (Alain De Botton Atheist Temple). This all seems rather religious.

@ICRscience You can't cal yourself scientific and just assert. You need to give proofs, calculations or logic reasonings on accepted proofs and calculations. That's the difference with faith that even if you're sure to be true you still have to prove it well. And it's ok, it's faith.

@sola_chad You can replace 'atheist' by 'believer' and say that some try to cheat the paradise, it would not make it true. Try to be a good person, wether afterlife exists or not. If you need a god to understand that harming yourself and others will be bad for everyone there's a problem.

@DivinelyDesined Simple way : don't say "Universe was designed ..." but "Universe working rules are ..." The main problem here is the language. If we talk about design you'll think "There's a designer".

Atheists have utterly failed to refute the design argument. Never even come close. You can't say, "We know something is designed because we know humans design things." That doesn't explain the attributes of the system that separates design from non-design. It's begging the question & circular. By that logic, we could never recognize designed things on alien planets, or even designed things dug up in the dirt of our own planet, unless we had already observed what designed those things. We recognize designed things by the attributes of the system: specified complexity, irreducible complexity, interdependent coordination, etc. We know systems with these attributes are designed because only intelligence is capable of planning & engineering parts into a purposeful, functional system with these attributes - based on our universal and uniform experience. Nature has never once been observed to be capable of this miraculous feat of engineering. You can't retort with, "BuT rEpRoDuCtIoN!" because reproduction requires the very attributes needing to be explained. This is question-begging again. Reproductive systems require a whole host of biological machinery engineered into a vast complex interdependent system - no evidence suggests any complex biological system can arise without intelligent guidance. Observation shows us that Nature destroys biological material - it doesn't build entire networks of complex interconnected systems. If you say, "It started out simple and grew more complex!" then you're holding a belief contrary to all the evidence. You can believe that if you want, but don't call it science. Reproducing biological molecules inherently require vast complexity. The systems in Life show ALL the attributes of designed things. Because Life was Divinely Designed.

@AtheistTakes The only difference between religions are their outspread civilizations. For the rest, wether there's a god or not isn't a matter of science or reasoning but faith. Believers will believe, no matter what you say.
