В английском есть ходовой фразовый глагол pop in = «заскочить (куда-то)», «внезапно появиться». Задумался, могло ли имя Мэри Поппинс быть каламбуром: Mary Poppins = merry pop-ins, «весёлые появления», ведь она впрямь резко появлялась из ниоткуда. Пруфов нет, но теория ходит.

Вчера убил весь день на совершенствование карт. Вы не представляете, как сложно научить компьютер находить пары. Еще сложнее – тройки Т_Т. Мы недооцениваем кучу само собой разумеющихся вещей. Добавлю скинчики для колоды, и хватит. Можно запускать в EA.

Characters look real, because they are. ❌ 3D modeling ✅ Filming This indie dev: - recorded professional actors - color graded the raw videos - imported them into the engine - sliced them into separate animations 100% Full Motion Video (FMV) I reached out to the dev, and he gave me some behind-the-scenes footage you can see below. Such a smart way to get photorealistic graphics without melting your GPU. Basically a modern version of the trick that was used in the classic Mortal Kombat. I think we'll see this tech in more indie games soon.

Dusk is finally out - it's a native PC (and Linux, Mac, iOS, Android) reimplementation of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. You get higher resolutions, smoother framerates, and a bunch of quality of life options (my favorite being gyro aim, very needed.) You can play it pretty close to the original or with modern tweaks, whatever you prefer. You will however need a dump of Twilight Princess to be able to play, whatever you do, don't check the link in my bio... I saw someone say that this doesn't help with posture at all, so this reminded me of the time I had to pull this move during my internship since I was only animating and didn't need many commands. I remember the people around me were confused, thinking I was drawing with my mind.
