The logic is simple: if only the threat of major consequences can make the US slow down, then that is exactly what should be done. ▪️▫️And the closer Iran gets to the turning point, the greater its willingness to take risks. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and a number of other states, with the exception of Oman, are already perceived in Tehran as parties to the conflict. ▪️▫️Key oil fields and export terminals are within range of Iran’s short-range missiles, and in some cases even artillery from the coast.
