@atrocityTCG @FoxxieLaLune I was on the playground 3000 yrs ago along with most people who have ever played ygo. That version “existed” more than any version of the game in a tournament setting. The players grew up and out of the hobby. Then they come back and get shocked by modern. Repeat ad infinitum

Look man, I hate cheaters in online multi-player just as much as the next person. I get it. It sucks. They suck. My worries about kernel level anti-cheat are that -NOTHING- is completely secure, and worst case scenario one day it may be used nefariously to cause real damage.

I’m usually not a fan of games being advertised as “from the devs who brought you X or Y,” because most of the time that tells me absolutely nothing about the actual game. But this is giving Disco Elysium vibes, and I’ll never say no to more story-driven games.

Adolf Hitler shot himself the moment he knew he couldn't win his war. The Boys has several issues writing wise but they portrayed what happens when a narcissist loses all power pretty well.

@theskulled heres the deck that won worlds in 2003 and 2004, 1 and 2 years after the global release one is a deck designed to rip your opponents whole hand and lock them out of the game, the other summoned a bunch in one turn and killed in one push yugioh never existed the way you described

I love Yu-Gi-Oh. But, I miss Yu-Gi-Oh. I miss the super edgy anime, where the protagonist was going to die horribly unless they could justify destroying the moon to drain the tide. And you sit back and go "damn... Why didn't I think of that?!" Now there is no edgy anime. More than that, I miss a card game that was simple. I would activate my trap card and my opponent would go "No!" I would summon a monster, set a card face down and end my turn. Now there is 40 steps to a turn, requiring me to remember at least 1000 words of effects of cards in my hand, deck, extra deck, and graveyard. I miss, opening a pack and actually be able to do 'something' with every card (yes, skull servant sucks but, I can still use him). As opposed to modern packs where I open a pack get 5 cards that reference and require 30 other cards that I don't own. Making them all worthless.
