@sexandtheswiss @kamiterru_ He's saying you need to leg press nearly 10x your body weight to improve your ability to press less than 20kg repeatedly?😳 Hmmn... Weights and general S&C are definitely a good idea to include in your plan just not at the expense of specific bike work 👍🏼

@Magicman18_26 @kamiterru_ One guy, also a coach said I need to be doing 400kg+ so who knows. Figured gym was a good option for the rainy days to build more muscle esp build back the upper body. I do need to build up my watts, my eftp is a tad down from last year

@sexandtheswiss Useful info for you, the actual force needed to turn the Pedals for a given wattage, if you can walk upstairs strength is not your issue Power 60rpm 90rpm 300W 28.7kg 19.1kg 400W 38.2kg 25.5kg 500W 47.8kg 31.8kg

@sexandtheswiss @kamiterru_ Unless your looking to compete as a track sprinter you're looking in the wrong place for speed. Not that it doesn't have its merits elsewhere. I say this as a cycling coach and gym of some 30yrs
