@MagnesiacoreMan It must increase construction costs-all that fussing with the joints
English

@DC89387414 There are fillers that set and you trim after five minutes and are paintable after 30 minutes that don't need sanding.
Watch "jointing without sanding" on magnesiacore.ca/_api/media-sha…
English

@MagnesiacoreMan How does it bond? How does it not push out the back? Does it harden? No visible seam? No cracking? No sanding? How quickly does the joint filling material dry? How many coats to fill the gaps flush?
English

One of the biggest advantages is speed.
You can install, joint, and paint a single room the same day with minimal downtime between steps. Many rooms can be fully finished in the same day depending on the size and number of workers.
With traditional drywall, you're stuck waiting a minimum of 7 days for the joint compound layers to fully cure — no matter how many rooms or how large the project is or how many people you throw at it.
Never mind the huge mess and dust that drywall creates, which is all avoidable with Magnesiacore faster cleaner assembly.
English

@MagnesiacoreMan A whole room? Wow!
So a 10 room house is 10 days?
Hang a 10 room house - 1 Day
Finish a 10 room house - 4 Days
DW spray a 10 room house - 1 Day
Paint a 10 room house - 1 Day
Cant come close with the cleanup tho. DW is a messy biz.

@DC89387414 Seamless filled joints like drywall tape and mud; or batons/trim over the seams, or visible caulked joints for large block look — all work great depending on the look you want.
English

@MagnesiacoreMan So there are visible reveals between the panels when finished? I don't get what I'm looking at.
English

MagnesiacoreGuy@MagnesiacoreMan
@captnron59pros It's not a caulking job. It is intentional filling of gaps to overfill them so that the filler bead hardens and can be cut flush with the board face using a sharp blade. This avoids the work of sanding and toxic dust of traditional mudding and the bumps and humps on your walls.

@MagnesiacoreMan What if I need to run a wire after the fact. Gypsum is easy to cut and repair. Now how easy is to cut and repair this stuff?
English

@MagnesiacoreMan Pretty interesting and cutting it and painting it is the same?

Sorry you feel that way about your friendly neighbours to the north!
.magnesiacore.com and .magnesiacore.ca both take you to the same online store, hosted in the cloud by the good ol’ USA.
Inventory is stocked in the USA for US customers and stocked in Canada for Canadian customers — so no importing, no tariffs, no extra taxes. Just simple online shopping with a credit card, cutting out the retail middlemen like most people do these days to save money.

The cost decision with Magnesiacore is a lot like choosing a kitchen faucet.
You can grab the cheapest one on Amazon for $50 that lasts 2–3 years… or spend $500 on a quality one that lasts 20–30 years.
In my opinion, all the walls and ceilings in your home should cost more than your kitchen faucet.
Same logic here: cheap paper-faced drywall is like the first little pig building with straw. Magnesiacore is the smarter pig building with bricks — a durable, cement-hard panel that lasts generations with zero maintenance.
Worth the upgrade every time. What do you think?
English

Great question on cost.
For a typical modest custom home, the full drywall subcontract (hang, tape, mud, finish ready for paint) often runs around $50,000. Yet the actual paper-faced drywall materials are only about $500 — the contractor barely factors them into the bid.
Labor, overhead, and profit dwarf the material cost.
That means upgrading to Magnesiacore (a cement-hard, generation-lasting panel) adds very little to the overall subcontract price — often less than swapping in a nicer kitchen faucet.
You get dramatically better durability, mold/fire resistance, and zero maintenance… for a tiny premium. Easily one of the highest-ROI decisions in the whole build.
Worth every extra penny.

@MagnesiacoreMan What is the cost compared to drywall?
Guadalupe, AZ 🇺🇸 English

@Saved102718 Much less of a problem than with drywall.
You can even skip nails and screws entirely — just use structural construction adhesive to attach Magnesiacore permanently to wood or metal framing. Cleaner, faster and no fastener pops or screw heads to deal with later.
English

@MagnesiacoreMan How do "nail pops" and seam cracks requiring re-painting compare to drywall over time?
English

"Interesting point on construction waste! Magnesiacore is way more eco-friendly than traditional gypsum drywall. You can crush the scraps and use them like gravel for garden drainage — it helps veggies grow better with good aeration and it's inert/non-toxic.
Drywall cutting waste, on the other hand, is a headache: it can release hydrogen sulfide when it breaks down and is often regulated as construction debris that shouldn't just go in regular trash or the environment due to potential contamination. Big win for Magnesiacore on sustainability. 👍"

@MagnesiacoreMan what do you mean, "ready to paint w/out sanding"... how're you going to get rid of the joint gaps w/out joint compound?
English

@MagnesiacoreMan Magnesium? When the building catches fire and firefighters apply water to it it will EXPLODE! How stupid of an idea this is!

You can hang anything anywhere on Magnesiacore — no need to find a stud for most items!
Screw anchor pull-out test results:
• One 12mm (1/2") board: anchor pulled at ~150kg (330 lbs) due to panel failure
