Here, through the Africa Science Dialogue Podcast courtesy of @afri_isaaa I delve into the problematic Striga weed that devastates farmers' fields and has a negative impact on food security. Also, I call upon young scientists to keep on keeping on! youtube.com/live/Kktq-xuWK…

Every GMO debate ignores one simple fact: You've almost never eaten a “natural” food in your life. 👇1/

I wrote this in May 2023: The Ring of Demons: This is a global ring. The organ harvesting industry, The abortion industry, The sex trafficking industry, The human trafficking industry (albinos), These are industries funded by global billionaires. The organs harvested are used to make drugs, fertilizers, GMO seeds and cosmetics. It is a lucrative business involving politicians, doctors, celebrities and NGOs. Every time you see retired American actresses or models or gays come to Afrika in the name of charity, they are coming to fund this ring of demons. Nobody wants to talk about this. #BetterTogether

Misinformation doesn’t need evidence to spread. It just needs silence. And when experts say nothing, bad ideas win by default. Let’s break it down: Science Denial Thrives on Silence GMOs cause cancer. (False.) Chemtrails are poison. (False.) Vaccines cause autism. (False.) These claims aren’t backed by science, but they dominate the conversation because they’re loud, emotional, and viral. If experts, scientists, and rational voices stay quiet, the public only hears fear-mongering. Some people say, “Don’t engage, it only gives them attention.” WRONG. Silence lets lies spread unchecked. If no one corrects the record: People assume misinformation is true. Bad ideas shape public policy. Science loses to fear. History shows what happens when science takes a backseat to ideology: Lysenkoism in the Soviet Union → Crop failures, millions starved. Sri Lanka’s organic disaster → Food shortages, economic collapse. Anti-vaccine propaganda → Resurgence of preventable diseases. The stakes are real. How to Fight Back? Speak up. You don’t have to argue, but you do have to correct. Share evidence. People trust data when it’s explained clearly. Engage, don’t mock. Not everyone spreading misinformation is doing it on purpose. The goal isn’t to win debates. The goal is to make truth louder than lies. Staying silent while misinformation spreads isn’t an option. Facts need a voice. Science needs defenders. Truth only wins when we fight for it. If we don’t push back, who will. Who’s your go-to for science facts? Tag your favorite science communicators and let’s get real experts talking.

Since 1987, the National Academy of Sciences has concluded that GE crops pose no new risks compared to conventional breeding. Judge James Donato's decision rejects this consensus, favoring excessive, anti-science regulations that obstruct progress in food security and sustainability.
