What has happened is tragic and I hope that Daniel's soul rests in peace. However, you should reflect on what you are conveying in this post (I understand this is an emotional topic as Daniel was a close friend of yours). As someone from the outside looking in, I would say that what you are describing that Kramnik did to these players (bullying, etc) is also what has been done to Kramnik but on an extremely larger scale. The amount of hate, bullying, slander, emotional attacks that Kramnik has been subjected to is multitudes larger. It is quite literally one man against the planet, it feels like, and it all stems from love for the game. Kramnik cares about the integrity of the game, something most, if not all, players share. Just about every top player agrees that there is a problem with cheating, but not enough is being done about it. Kramnik, although his methods are extreme at times, has a love for the game, and after watching the videos he puts out, I would definitely not call his questions baseless. I definitely believe that what he is doing could be done in a less polarizing and cleaner way, but I also think that his intentions were from a pure heart. Kramnik is not good with words, but it is also fact that he called on Daniel's friends to reach out to Daniel out of concern before the tragic incident happened. He is not a bad human being at heart.

In watching the clip below of Danya's last stream and hearing the pain in his voice, how deeply the baseless accusations affected him, I am left so mad at what we all allowed to happen right in front of us. It's time to stop worrying about the backlash. I am calling on the FIDE EDC to remove Vladimir Kramnik from the FIDE record books, revoke his title, and disqualify his world championship. Chess is one of the most beloved games in the world and should be a place for kindness and inclusion. It should be unilaterally unacceptable to use a platform that Chess has given you to bully, harass, and slander a colleague. What Kramnik has done to David Navara, Hikaru, and Danya, and others can not be tolerated. It is up to our community and the governing body to set an example that this type of behavior will have consequences. Make it known loud and clear that Chess stands against these hateful acts. If you do them intentionally and maliciously there will be no place for you in our game. FIDE and it's EDC must establish clear policies moving forward around the safety of it's players both in person and digitally. The events leading up to this tragedy happened in broad daylight over the last 18 months. They could have been stopped. Nothing like this can ever be allowed to happen again.
