This is sad. Unfortunately, a significant portion in RCIA are their for marriage or similar, & those generally follow the practice of the person they entered to marry. Those who come in for religious motives are much more practicing.

I kinda want to try going to a Catholic Church but my mother was raised catholic and is now Protestant and I fear she will be very uncomfortable if I want to go to a Catholic Church

@MainStLender @cecsquared I don't think they are confirmed, so they should not be taking the Eucharist, which means there is no reason for them to fast. They don't need to fast to recieve a blessing.

The young man and woman featured in the “New York’s hottest club is Mass” stories posted pictures together at a steakhouse with wine and dessert on Good Friday. So maybe there’s still a lot of work to do for formation.

My “rebirthday” is this coming Tuesday. I became a Jesus follower on Easter Vigil, April 7, 2007. Well, if I’m honest, I was a follower before that, and a lifelong agnostic even earlier. But the joy I felt after coming out of that water, the laying of hands, the smell of the chrism, I cannot describe. The world glowed that evening and I felt a peace, a profound cleanliness, love tasted everywhere. I’ve been a humble follower of Christ ever since, ups and downs, deep devotion, momentary dark nights of the soul, transformative fire anew. Piety, Study, Action. God’s grace through Christ is abundant. Extravagant. To all those coming home tomorrow evening, we all will be praying for you. The journey is truly amazing and He has much more in store!

This is amazing. I entered the Catholic Church when I was in college over 15 years ago and no one else I knew my age was converting. It’s so incredible to see thousands of young people now joining the Church 🙏🙏

We are getting close on permits, so it’s time to arrange to have the electric/gas meter removed and the gas line abandoned. Don’t wait for permits to coordinate meter removal.

@TomSteyer Do you realize that taxes are passed through to tenants on almost all leases? So rent or occupancy costs will only go up on apartment renters and business owners, who will in turn raise prices on consumers. All so the California government can keep spending.

Since 2012, California's wealthy commercial property owners have avoided $243 billion in taxes. That's theft from our schools and communities. I'm going to close that corporate tax loophole and put money back into Californians' pockets.
