This was so disappointing. It’s a matter of historical record that Lincoln started the war, the North attacked first, and no one told Southerners they couldn’t keep their slaves until the last year of the war. You can’t trust that Nick has actually studied anything about actual history he’s relying on the same public school/Hollywood propaganda narratives about the Civil War, just like he does about WWII.

On our way to Nashville. Sorry for the lack of updates today, but one of us got a fever. We didn’t drive very far and decided to spend the day at the hotel. We just walked over to Publix to try the sandwiches everyone kept recommending. We weren’t sure which sub it was. At first we got the Publix Sub because we thought that had to be it since it’s named after the store. Then we noticed the Chicken Tenders Sub had a “Customer Favorite” sign above it, so we got that one too.

A Kentucky family has filed a lawsuit to safeguard its ancestral farm from development for an artificial intelligence data center. A mother and her daughter are standing firm against selling their 200 year old family farm in Kentucky to data center developers. They are now battling the project through the courts. Ida Huddleston and her daughter Delsia Bare reside on a 1200 acre farm in Maysville that has belonged to their family for more than two centuries. To them the land represents far more than mere property. Generations have raised livestock cultivated crops constructed homes and laid loved ones to rest on this soil. Bare recalls spending her childhood riding horses along the fences while Huddleston has called the farm home since she was 17 years old. When real estate agents started purchasing land for a planned 2000 acre artificial intelligence data center Huddleston and Bare initially agreed to sell a portion of their holdings. Yet the choice soon proved too difficult to bear. I do not want to leave my home. I do not want to leave my flower beds Huddleston told her daughter. Bare acted swiftly to void the agreement and felt relieved when an attorney verified that the developers could not compel the sale. The family has since joined other local residents in a legal challenge against the project. The proposed data center would demand up to 2.2 gigawatts of electricity plus extensive new infrastructure for power water sewer roads and fiber optics. Backers argue that the unnamed Fortune 100 company would fund these improvements and generate jobs along with increased tax revenue for the region. Opponents however worry that the development could overburden local water and power resources convert productive farmland into industrial zones and fundamentally alter the rural character of the community. Some neighboring residents have already faced displacement. Twenty eight people in a mobile home park received 90 day eviction notices after sections of the land were purchased for the project. An initial lawsuit was dismissed but the family and other members of the group We Are Mason County submitted a new complaint in June. The development continues to advance and a court approved rezoning in May. Huddleston and Bare remain resolute in their decision not to leave. Money means nothing if you lack food water and the ability to breathe Huddleston stated. And they are not making any more land.

@ncspeakerhall @NC_Governor The homelessness problem is COMPLETELY out of control here in Asheville NC. Everyone knows it. I get CONSTANTLY corrected for not saying they are "unhoused" but the VAST VAST MAJORITY are on drugs and also violent people. This isn't kindness, this is cruelty to me and my kids.

It’s clear that @NC_Governor isn’t committed to keeping NC’s streets safe or to improving outcomes for the homeless community. The legislation he vetoed provides long-term solutions by relocating encampments to safer, more suitable locations. The House will override and right this wrong.

@STATter911 We are in a stage of reality where absolutely nothing can be the truth. Chaos and confusion mission accomplished. You can give calls, timelines, pics, video, written testimony, eye witness accounts AND LITERALLY NOTHING will be settled. It's madness and it's intentional.

Radio traffic from response to Sen. Graham’s home: Emergency radio traffic indicates that Senator Lindsey Graham suffered chest pains before going into cardiac arrest Saturday night. Efforts to revive the South Carolina lawmaker were not successful. Graham died two days after his 71st birthday. This is the second time within a month that the DC Fire & EMS Department was dispatched to the Capitol Hill home of a Republican U.S. Senator reported to be in cardiac arrest. The first was Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky on June 14th. The radio traffic from OpenMHz.com indicates that the 911 caller last night was a woman in Baltimore. The crew from Engine 7 arrived and could not get anyone to answer the door. They apparently forced entry into the home. The radio traffic gives the impression that Senator Graham may not have immediately been in cardiac arrest when they arrived, but there is no confirmation of that information. Here’s the unofficial timeline for the call: · 8:27:34 Engine 7 and Medic 7 (a paramedic ambulance) were dispatched to Graham’s home on South Capitol Street SE (I’ve omitted the street numbers). · 8:32:34 Engine 7 requested a callback to get someone inside to open the locked front door. · 8:33:34 (timestamp missing on video) Dispatcher reported that the caller said she was not in the home and the door is unlocked. · 8:34:15 Dispatcher reported that the caller asked if they knocked on the door, believing the patient would answer. Engine 7 responded, “Yes. Repeatedly.” · 8:35:05 Dispatcher said the caller is coming from Baltimore. The dispatcher asked Engine 7 if they would like a ladder truck company to force entry and asked about the need for DC Police. Engine 7 said they will need police, but they could handle forcing entry into the home. · 8:53:28 Engine 7 reported CPR was in progress “now” and requested an EMS supervisor (standard on cardiac arrest calls). · 8:54:00 EMS 6, an EMS supervisor, was dispatched. · 9:13:41 Battalion Chief 2 told the dispatcher to attach him to the run with Engine 7 (this is not routine on most cardiac arrest calls and is likely an indication of who the patient was). #lindseygraham #sengraham #firefighters #EMS #capitolhill @thehill @MikeEmanuelFox @tomsherwood @mkraju @dclinenews @MacFarlaneNews @Acosta @Jake_Kanter @jaketapper @brianstelter @farhip @j_m_wood @seungminkim @jamiegangel @GarrettHaake @mmillerwtop @charlienbc @dcnewsnow @NFTC_News @SegravesNBC4 @FitzFox5DC

Lindsey Graham lived 90 minutes from my doorstep... …and he NEVER came to visit us in Western North Carolina a SINGLE TIME after Hurricane Helene. He flew to Ukraine TEN TIMES and tried to visit Israel “every 2 weeks”… It’s no secret I didn’t like him, but he voted with the President when it counted, unlike many other RINOs, and that matters. Rest in peace, Lindsey Graham.

Just north of Charlotte is the Lake Norman area. We're in Mooresville. It is the very safe, small town that you're family would love to enjoy! We met another refugee family that left Charlotte and came up to Davidson. (Next to Mooresville) Definitely try to get up here. Visit Josh's Farmers Market, Merino Mill for. The best pizza or burgers, Defined Coffee for the best Latte, see a movie in a very NOT crowded theater, walk by the lake at Langtree. You'll love it!!!!!!!! Welcome home!

We made it! 🇺🇸 After a grueling 15-hour flight from Cape Town to Atlanta and a quick connection to Charlotte, North Carolina, we have finally arrived on American soil. We’re grateful beyond words, completely exhausted, and yes — feeling the weight of starting over. The journey has been overwhelming, exciting, and a little scary as we prepare to sign our first lease today in East Charlotte. Any tips and advice on singing a lease is very welcome! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every prayer, every message of encouragement, and the incredible welcoming generosity we’ve already felt. Please don’t stop now! Your supportive words and continued prayers mean more to us than ever as we take these first steps. We are deeply grateful to President Trump and, most importantly, to the American people for opening your arms and making this possible. The American dream is real. We’re living it. See you soon, America! 🙏 Pictured: My son absolutely loving and enjoying the planes at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

I'm going to several docs/specialists, but has anyone ever dealt with recurring strep infections in their kids? My 8 year old has had it probably 4 times the last 9 months. Feeling anxious about helping him... We're visiting an ENT and immunologist. Anyone been through this?

Bodycam footage just came out of a farmer speaking against a planned data center, being handcuffed at a city council meeting for going a few seconds over the 3-minute public comment limit. Darren Blanchard was speaking in Claremore, Oklahoma when two officers told him to leave, followed him to the front as he tried to hand documents to the council, and cuffed him as the crowd booed. He's charged with criminal trespass, a $200 offense, and is fighting it as retaliatory. The case has become a marker for the wider fight over data center construction, where residents increasingly clash with developers over water, power, utility rates and farmland. Blanchard's sharpest point is about democracy itself: if attending a public meeting can get you cuffed, the chilling effect reaches well beyond one Oklahoma town.

The problem is your body doesn’t release the same amount of growth hormone as it did when you were in your 20s, I bought an 87% decline while in your 50s. As a result, you don’t recover as well. Add this to traditionally declining levels of testosterone, slower and less efficient mitochondria, less than ideal sleep, and you have a recipe for what we call DOMS. This is what I help with all of my patients in what I called my health optimization program. Focusing on optimizing and restoring their sleep, correcting hormone and balances, and optimizing their recovery with Peptides. Also, focus on resistance training 3 to 5 days a week, picking 2 to 3 exercise exercises per body part. Traditionally, something like chest and triceps on one day Back and biceps on a separate day Shoulders and legs on a third day If you’re mixing in any cardio, then you should do it after your resistance.

@mattvanswol This should be considered domestic terrorism....then the response and punishment will drastically change. It would also mean co conspirators (parents) will pay a price, when appropriate. This is the only path that makes sense to me where big change can actually start.
