Been thinking honestly about the trans debate. Not here to hate, just scared for my kids. So I'll ask the hard questions: 1. If being trans is right for a few, why isn't it right for everyone? And if everyone transitioned, how does humanity survive? 2. If 1% is fine today, what stops 70% in 100 years when no one says "no" to kids anymore? 3. Why should governments let kids transition before they understand what they're losing? 4. If we can't question this without being silenced who's really protecting freedom? Not looking for slogans. Looking for answers that don't disappear when you think about the next generation.

Since this has blown up, I’d like to shout out all the other trans founders. I won’t name them out of respect for their privacy. There aren’t a lot of us out there and it’s hard. All the ones I’ve met are incredibly hard working, kind, and generous people, not to mention completely fucking cracked. Shit like this happens all the time but that’s life, can’t make everyone like you. :/ Life is not easy—for anyone

@MrRiojas @LundukeJournal @gf_256 No they hired one of the top research companies in the space to do the audit. They happen to own that company. A cursory glance would tell you how respected they are in the community. They published the report of the analysis. It's way more than just "good".

Remember the security firm that Ubuntu hired to audit the (ill-advised, highly buggy) Rust-rewrites of all of the GNU Coreutils? Turns out that security firm is run by @gf_256, who: - Appears to be a man who thinks he's a woman ("trans"). - Uses an anime cartoon of a girl as his avatar. - Appears to have an OnlyFans page. I repeat: Ubuntu hired a "Trans" man, with an anime girl avatar and an OnlyFans page... to audit Rust code. It's hard to get more on-the-nose than that.

@Slyotic @I_Am_Jakoby He found a technical vulnerability in a company. Critical is the highest ranking, and 10.0 is the highest of that. He basically found the holy grail of bad things in technology. Companies usually pay between 50k-100k usd for something like this.

@JeffBohren @emil_priver The error has nothing to do with memory safety. It was just badly coded. If they used a try block instead of unwrap like the docs say to, this wouldn't have been the outcome
