@DerrickEvans4WV Depends heavily on where you are. For example, I live in a arid desert. There's actually some concerns with water usage. I'm not against the datacenter itself. I just want to know how they're gonna handle the water usage and power consumption.

I agree. Before these monstrosities are built, constraints need to be in place, and ENFORCED. No eminent domain to be utilized, bring your own energy production, no utilizing public water, build closed loop systems, noise levels to be controlled, waste water to be controlled and deemed safe. No TAX breaks. Taxpayers should not carry the burden of big tech making money.

China is investing millions of dollars right now in advertising in the United States, to promote and advertise against building data centers in the United States, meanwhile, China build 4–8 data centers a week / month, as well as power plants and solar panels to support those data centers. I wouldn’t be surprised if China paid a few influencers on here a couple bucks to make a few posts, they’ve done it before, why wouldn’t they do it again?
