📌RECESS TERM ACCOMMODATION UPDATE (2025/2026) 📌 The Office of the Dean of Students has released the official accommodation arrangements for the upcoming Recess Term, running from 6th June to 1st August 2026. Hall Allocations: 🔹 Nkrumah Hall: Livingstone Hall & Jinja Campus students. 🔹 Nsibirwa Hall: Mitchell & University Hall students. 🔹 Lumumba Hall: All female students. 🔹 Galloway House: College of Health Sciences students. 🔹 Kabanyolo Hostel: CAES students at the Agricultural site. 📌 Note: Private students wishing to reside in the halls will pay a fee of UGX 150,000 via PRN.

📌 UPDATE ON THE 100% TUITION POLICY 📌 Despite intensive diplomatic efforts by the 92nd Guild Government, Management has maintained a strict 100% tuition requirement for the exam series starting tomorrow, 18th May. However, a window remains for individual appeals in cases of genuine financial hardship. We call upon all affected students to peacefully approach the Vice Chancellor’s Office tomorrow morning with their: - Student ID - Provisional Financial Statement - Commitment Letter

⚠️ Tuition paid but not reflecting on your portal? ⚠️ With exams starting this Monday, resolve any pending payment synchronization issues using this link: 📌📌pay.mak.ac.ug Steps: 1️⃣ Open the link in your browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.) 2️⃣ Select "CHECK PRN STATUS" 3️⃣ Enter your Payment Reference Number (PRN) & click "Check Status" 4️⃣ The payment will be reconciled and you can now proceed to login and print your exam permit.

The Office of the Academic Registrar has released the 2026/2027 Freshers' Joining Instructions. Key dates to note: -> Aug 1st: Reporting to Halls/Hostels -> Aug 3rd: General Freshers’ Orientation (Freedom Square) at 9am -> Aug 4th-7th: College Orientations -> Aug 10th: Lectures & Registration begin We look forward to seeing you at the Mighty Hill.

Following our formal re-appeal in the letter dated 11th May to allow students who have paid at least 60% tuition to sit for the corresponding percentage of registered course units, the Office of the Vice Chancellor has communicated that the request was not accepted due to existing fees payment policies. While the surcharge waivers we secured remain in place, the 60% tuition waiver was unfortunately not successful and we therefore encourage all students to clear their outstanding balances before the examination period to avoid any inconveniences.

The 92nd Guild Government is standing in solidarity with Kiconco Ignatius, a 3rd-year BA Education student currently facing a tuition hurdle of UGX 4.5M that threatens his journey to graduation. Ignatius is a testament to resilience, a half-orphan who has worked as a cleaner and taken on casual labor just to keep his academic dreams alive. He is now just one step away from becoming a teacher of Geography and History. We are calling upon the students' fraternity and all well-wishers to support this cause.
