President @WilliamsRuto’s government is building more than 270,000 affordable housing units across over 200 sites nationwide, making Kenya one of the leading African nations implementing the Affordable Housing Program one of the most consequential initiatives in our country. From my perspective, these projects are transformative. They have created over 640,000 jobs, expanded access to home ownership, restored dignity by addressing informal settlements, and curbed land fragmentation to protect our agricultural land. Achieving this progress requires strong political leadership from the highest level and innovative ways of mobilising resources at scale. Kenya has demonstrated this by raising local financing through the housing levy, reducing reliance on debt. I observed this firsthand during an interactive session at the second African Urban Forum held at KICC in Nairobi, which brought together representatives from over 40 countries at the ministerial level. On the sidelines of the event, I had the opportunity to see some of our affordable housing projects in Nairobi County showcasing a remarkable shift from the past when Kibera, once the largest informal settlement in the region, dominated our narrative. Today, that settlement is on course to be eradicated, reflecting the tangible impact of these initiatives. #AfricaUrbanForum

Over the past month, our political space had begun drifting into unnecessary exchanges of insults and confrontational rhetoric among leaders. That kind of politics does not build a nation; it only raises temperatures and risks incitement where wisdom should prevail. Today, however, at the burial of the MP for Ol Kalau, Kenyans witnessed something different. Leaders from across the political divide stood together and demonstrated that it is possible to disagree without hostility. That moment reminded us that maturity in leadership is not shown through loud confrontation, but through restraint and respect. I commend and appreciate H.E. the President @WilliamsRuto and other leaders present for setting a tone of unity and calm. Leadership is not only about competition; it is also about protecting the peace and stability of the nation. Kenya deserves politics that focus on ideas, policy, and solutions not insults. When leaders on all sides choose dialogue over division, the country moves forward together. We may value the game of politics, but we must value our country even more. Peace is greater than any political victory. Kenya is our home. Let us guard its unity, nurture its peace, and lead with wisdom. This is our country today, tomorrow, and forever. 🇰🇪

Today humanity once again stretches its courage beyond the sky. As astronauts journey deeper into space, they remind us that progress belongs to those bold enough to explore the unknown. @NASA #astronauts

Easter reminds me that even in the hardest moments, hope still rises and triumph remains possible. It is a season that calls for reflection, patience, and faith in the journey ahead. There are times when the road feels heavy, yet resilience teaches us to keep moving. I have learned that showing up again and again matters. It is how we grow, how we endure, and how we rise. I know we are resilient, and we will keep showing up. We have done it before, and will do it Again. Happy Easter. On the other side of every burden we carry, hope is rising again.

Under the theme “Africa’s Future through Talent Development, Innovation and Inclusion,” I had the privilege of engaging with leaders, scholars, and innovators committed to shaping a transformative pathway for the continent. The discussion underscored a shared conviction: Africa’s progress will be driven by investing in its people unlocking talent, fostering innovation ecosystems, and ensuring inclusive opportunities for the next generation of leaders. As the CEO of the @USLA254 I reaffirmed the importance of strengthening student leadership platforms within our universities as catalysts for innovation, civic responsibility, and sustainable development across Africa. #TalentDevelopment #Innovation #Inclusion #AfricaRising #StudentLeadership #USLA

It is a day that reminds us of humility, faith, and the fulfillment of God’s promise. Palm Sunday commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, when crowds welcomed Him with palm branches and praise, declaring: “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 21:9). Scripture tells us: “Rejoice greatly… See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey.” (Zechariah 9:9). This moment calls us to reflect on the power of humility, service, and unwavering faith. May this sacred day renew our hearts with hope, guide us in righteousness, and remind us to walk in love, compassion, and peace.

FOR DECADES… Nangina Girls’ School in Samia, Funyula has stood as a pillar of academic excellence, discipline, and empowerment for the girl child. Generations of daughters from Western Kenya and across the nation have passed through its gates and emerged as confident leaders, professionals, and change-makers. Today, we proudly celebrate its elevation to Nangina National School a recognition that reflects the institution’s enduring legacy of excellence and its growing impact in shaping the future of our nation. For many families across Samia and the wider Western region, this school holds deep personal significance. My own sisters, alongside many daughters of our community and relatives from the region, benefited from the strong educational foundation nurtured within this historic institution. Seeing Nangina reach this national stature is therefore a moment of immense pride for the people of Samia, Funyula, and for Kenya at large. The status of a National School represents more than recognition it symbolizes opportunity, diversity, and the national commitment to advancing the education of the girl child. Institutions like Nangina continue to play a vital role in nurturing leadership, knowledge, and national cohesion. Congratulations to the students, teachers, alumni, and the entire community that has sustained this proud legacy.

In leadership and youth engagement spaces, particularly within university communities, narratives imposed on young people can significantly shape their trajectories. Interventions that restore dignity, agency, and belief in potential are often transformative. @USLA254
