The State Department for Trade is keen on leveraging Kenya’s diplomatic missions abroad to expand trade relations and unlock new export opportunities for Kenyan products. Principal Secretary for Trade Regina Ombam today held talks with Consul General at the Kenya Embassy in Dubai Jayne Toroitich on strengthening Kenya’s commercial diplomacy and trade ties with the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The meeting explored ways of boosting Kenyan exports and enhancing the country’s commercial presence in the region, while underscoring the role of Commercial Attachés in promoting Kenya’s exports.
