Sorry to say I’ve pretty much decided to scale back my posts on this platform. I’m not coming off completely, but my days of spending 4 or 5 hours a day producing posts seen by about 500 people have got to come to an end. I’m fed up on my own feed seeing countless posts about Trump or Elon Musk or random people from the USA who are constantly spouting their MAGA nonsense. For an account that is purely about Manchester United you have got to ask yourself what algorithms is Musk telling his people to inflict on others? I’ve had enough. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManchesterUnited #ManUtd

@KasaSaaz_ @AM_Enough80 @asadowaisi Assamese Muslims like the Goria and Moria think they can ingratiate themselves with ahom nationalists by "othering" non Assamese Muslims but the fact is that the Assamese will still call them Miyas and post cauliflower pics because end of the day a skullcap is still a skullcap.

Hot Take 🔥 Daredevil should be called Batman because he's blind and got a sonar ability, like a bat. Ghost Rider should be called Daredevil, because he's a former daredevil who made a deal with the devil. Batman should be called Ghost Rider, because he is ridin' on his dead parents' fortune.

Why has Ibrahim Nawaz and Declan Sullivan not gotten game time? Mark Cox said to Ibrahim and Declan that their football IQ is TOO HIGH for the local players to cope up with. That's the reason he gave behind their not getting adequate game time Source: Rana Abbas

Absolutely crazy and at the same time incredible how Mark discredits everything good that is happening at the club. Carrick has done wonders compared to Amorim. Defense has been strengthened massively, players playing in their natural position, play style changed drastically, wingbacks not getting a lot of the big chances we create… I can go on about what Carrick has changed. If you think Enrique is available and we should sign him that’s a different conversation. Discrediting Carrick’s job so far is disingenuous.

@Gypsy_heart8 @Teheera With bangladesh and Bangali Muslims as a whole, we tend to have official Muslim identifies names but almost all of us have something called a "dak nam" (nickname) which tends to be more indigenous.

@Teheera Honestly, I’m not so sure. A Bengali or Malaysian would be better able to respond.

It’s because our other option was Persian names, prominent among our grandparents, but post-47 our connection with Persian severed, & unlike Bangladeshis or Indonesians, we refuse to connect to our Hindustani roots, we substituted one set of foreign sounding names with another.
Nouman Warraich, PhD@NkWarraich

Why did we 🇵🇰 adopt mostly Arabic names? Many non-Arab Muslim countries (e.g., 🇹🇷 , Indonesia 🇮🇩 , and Bangladesh 🇧🇩 ) retained strong local naming traditions, using only few Arabic names. How we ended up being so Arabi-fied in naming kids, leaving our own culture behind.

@NotElonrw @I_Own_The_Sky You think culture is rituals and iconography? Thats called religion and religion can be gained or discarded and is NOT synonymous with "culture".

@Makhon @I_Own_The_Sky Lmao you think drinking chai and trading is culture. Billions drink tea and trade, does that make all of them bengali? Are you high on something? Can't understand basic logic?

I am enjoying the Juggernaut take down cause I've never forgiven them for this unhinged, abomination of an article. Even better that their public meltdown was triggered by a tweet from a Bengali.

@NotElonrw @I_Own_The_Sky 😂😂😂 we've been appropriating other cultures for thousands of years! we're an historical international trade crossroad, if something passes through Bengal and we like it; we adopt it!

@Makhon @I_Own_The_Sky No it's not important here and now, the past has what defined the culture and made it what it is today. If you adopted arbic culture you can't call it bengali. It's literally Arabic culture. Stop appropriating culture.

@NotElonrw @I_Own_The_Sky Culture is only important in the here and now but it'd dictated by what came before and what is passed on to the next generation. Tea is an integral part of our culture currently yet no Bengalis were drinking it 500 years ago.

@Makhon @I_Own_The_Sky It absolutely is, that's what culture means. You can't just pick and choose and say muhh kultureee. If it changes over time then it's pointless. Cuz it is not the same anymore what it used to be in the past. So you have no right or claim to the culture.

@NotElonrw @I_Own_The_Sky Secondly, Bengali culture is not monotropic and solely about Shaktism. Culture is formed and dictated by the majority of a people and the majority of Bengali people are Muslim. Culture is also a fluid and dynamic construct which changes over time, not a stagnant unchanging thing
