i turned $83 to $19,000 in 4 weeks - traded with @Topstep - had one bullet in my gun - $4k debt on myself - passed account in two days - under 20 trading days made $32k just from $2k total drawdown - 30 calendar days i had $19k in my bank account Became debt free , started grinding more on charts , finally prioritising the health . All of this came from one single account. If i can do it , you can do it as well , never give up.

I met a trader in Dubai who was doing $80k/month in prop firm payouts. He showed me his stats. 71% win rate. Average RR: 0.8R to 1.2R. I asked him why such low risk-reward. 'Bro, I tried the 1:3RR+ thing for 2 years. Blew 40+ accounts. My win rate was 25%. I'd have 8-10 losing trades in a row and couldn't handle it mentally.' 'Then I switched to taking quick profits. 1:1 mostly. Sometimes less if price shows weakness.' 'My win rate jumped to 70%+.' He was running $2.8M in combined funding across 8 accounts. Some months he'd make 1%. Some months 5%. But he was consistent. And the psychology was easier. Winning 7 out of 10 trades feels completely different than winning 3 out of 10. Even if the math says they're equal. Your brain doesn't care about math during a 12-trade losing streak. He told me: 'I don't need to be right about where price is going long-term. I just need to be right about the next 10-15 pips. That's it.' Most traders are chasing these huge runners because someone on YouTube told them that's what 'real traders' do. Meanwhile this guy is taking home $80k/month with 0.8-1.2R trades. You don't need massive risk-reward to make serious money. You need capital + consistency + a win rate you can actually maintain. Low RR with high win rate will always beat high RR with low win rate when it comes to prop firm payouts.

I’ve made $5M from day trading and documented every single trade live on my YouTube... And over the next 33 days, I’m going to mentor you for FREE in this thread. No upsell. No opt-ins. No bs. I’m going to break down the real secrets behind how price moves, how smart money actually operates, how to read the chart properly, and how to stop trading like a gambler and start trading with structure, clarity, and discipline. This is EVERYTHING I wish I had when I started out. The concepts, frameworks, and lessons that would’ve saved me years of confusion, blown accounts, and painful trial and error. And just so we’re clear, I don’t need your $$. I want you to become a better trader. So if you’re serious about mastering the market, save this thread and come back every day for the next 33 days 🧵

Took me 9 years to become a profitable trader. Now I have $1m in personal capital and average 4-11% per month. It takes way longer than you think it will, but when it clicks it changes your life.

You made $200 in 15 minutes and refused to close the trade. You work 8 hours at your job for that same $200. Trading makes you money blind. Take the cash that the market gave you in minutes.

I know a guy who made $340,000 in prop firm payouts last year. He only trades the London open. 7am to 9am London time. Two hours a day. That's it. The rest of the day he doesn't touch the charts. When I first met him, he was doing 6-7 hour trading sessions. NY open, London open, even Asian session sometimes. Five funded accounts breached in one quarter. Not because he was a bad trader. Because by hour 4 or 5, he was tired, bored, and forcing setups that weren't there. His best trades were ALWAYS in the first 90 minutes of London. His worst trades were almost always after midday. The data was obvious when he actually looked at it. So he made a rule: No trading after 9am London. Shut the laptop. Go to the gym. Do whatever. But no charts. First month of doing this felt wrong to him. 'I feel lazy. Like I'm not putting in enough work.' But his account equity said otherwise. Pass rate on challenges went from about 35% to over 70%. He was targeting 1-2R per trade, win rate sitting around 63-67%. Small consistent gains. No dramatic swings. He scaled from $400k in combined funding to $1.8M inside 14 months. $340k in payouts. From two hours of work a day. Trading more doesn't make you more money. Trading BETTER does. Figure out when you trade best and ONLY trade then. Everything else is just noise.

Trading $50-100k/month is genuinely achievable with prop firms Beyond that? It gets hard Anyone telling you they're making $500k/month from their retail trading account is probably lying to you Set realistic targets, hit them consistently, scale your funding That's the actual path

I met a trader in London last year who had $2.1M in funded capital across 14 prop firm accounts. He was making $40-60k/month in payouts. Consistently. I asked him what his average RR was. '1.1 to 1.3 mostly.' I wasn't surprised. But the guy next to us at the event was. 'That's it? How do you make real money with that?' The funded trader smiled and pulled out his phone. Showed him his payout history for 2024. $500k+ in 12 months. The other guy said: 'But if you had a higher RR you'd have made so much more.' And this is where most traders get it wrong. He wasn't leaving money on the table. He was PROTECTING it. Here's what his numbers actually looked like: •Win rate: 71% •Average RR: 1.2R •Avg max drawdown: 4% •Accounts breached in 12 months: 2 2 Only 2 accounts blown in 12 months. While the guy questioning him had been chasing 1:4 and 1:5 RR trades all year. 68% of his accounts breached. Because every losing streak hit harder. Every drawdown went deeper. And the trailing drawdown rules on his prop firms swallowed him whole. The math isn't complicated. With 1:1.2 RR and a 71% win rate - you're printing money at scale. With 1:4 RR and a 38% win rate - you're surviving, not scaling. You don't need massive RR. You need funded capital that stays alive long enough to pay you. Low RR is how you keep it alive.

Spent the first four years of my trading career hunting 1:5 setups Read every book Watched every YouTube guy with a whiteboard and a Lambo "Cut losses short, let winners run." I had it taped above my monitor Blew 23 challenge accounts $7,800 in fees. Gone. My win rate during that stretch was 26% On paper my system had a positive expectancy In a spreadsheet I was profitable In real life I was a guy sitting in his kitchen at 3am wondering if he was clinically delusional Nobody tells you what 11 reds in a row actually does to you They show you the equity curve and say "trust the process." They don't show you the part where you start hiding your losses from your girlfriend and family I met a Jewish guy in Dubai end of 2025 making $76k/month from prop firms Asked him what his RR was, expecting some genius answer. He laughed. "1:1. Sometimes 0.7 if I see weakness." I almost left the conversation It sounded like everything I'd been told was wrong Got home Couldn't stop thinking about it Rebuilt my entire approach around quick exits Same pairs, same sessions, completely different management Take profit fast. Bank it. Move on. Win rate now: 72% Passed my next challenge in 2 days Pulled $63k in feb. Then $63k in march Here's what I wish someone had told me at the start: High RR systems are designed for people who don't have a nervous system The math works The human running the math doesn't Most traders don't have a strategy problem. They have a strategy that their brain can't physically execute when it's tired, scared, or on a losing streak That's a completely different problem and no amount of backtesting fixes it The edge isn't in the setup The edge is in picking a system you can still run on your worst day I should have learned this in year one Took me too long
