@JackHadders @ReformSarah As someone who identifies as a runner the phrase “jogger” offends me .
English

As @reformsarah was giving her speech in Loughton, a jogger shouted at the crowd, “fucking racism,” to boos from the protesters.
“His child wasn’t at school this morning… scared for his safety,” Sarah said. “These people aren’t going to stand up and they don’t see the issues”
English

@KirstieMAllsopp If the gov want a quick and easy way to make significant inroads into fixing the housing crisis and the economy it is removing absurdity of stamp duty .
English

@JuliaHB1 I don't often agree with you sometimes i do but i have thus so far respected your right to your view. This however crosses the line . Poor judgment at best

The Met Police have narrowed down the list of arson suspects to 70 million people...

@BellaWallerstei I agree , I suspect we are the actually the silent majority. Politically lost
English

This is what happens when you don’t stand up & fight for decent liberal values - the so called populists - the mad conspiracy theorising, hard right, nasty people take control & get elected.
We must not let this happen. in our country.
Farrukh@implausibleblog
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene refuses to take a question from a British journalist saying, “Ok we don't give a crap about your opinion and your reporting. Why don't you go back to your country” I guess Keir Starmer hasn't told her about the special relationship 🤷♂️

@ideanoc17 It is a lot easier when the land is free and planning is rubber stamped

@OS_Architects @CIVIC_SQUARE @createstreets @altrinchamtoday Looks a great design for an urban infill 👏👏
English

We were pleased to recently receive planning approval for an urban infill scheme for 4 new family houses around a central courtyard. They replace a surface car park with much needed sensitively designed contextual new homes. @CIVIC_SQUARE @createstreets @altrinchamtoday

@JuliaHB1 Incredible I am not sure I agree with you on anything other than this your position on Ukraine / Russia which you seem to be one of the best voices . When it comes to democracy we have more in common than that which divides us 👏👏

Bloody hell, President Zelensky is taking on both Trump and Vance in the Oval Office. He is the only leader who's visited Trump who is telling it like it is.
He's got more balls than every other man who's ever been in that room.

@caroldecker You may not watch but do you ever listen or read …. BBC radio ,BBC sounds ,BBC podcasts or BBC I player ,read anything on the BBC website .
English

@robdix “I am going to have to take that away and come back to you on that”
English

You’ll either relate to this hard or absolutely not at all:
You’re texting someone, and spend ages labouring over the wording of what you want to say.
You hit send, and… 10 seconds later, they’ve replied! Clearly their response just popped into their head instantly.
I’m a slowwww thinker, and for years I thought I was stupid because it takes me so long to come up with things that other people seem to do effortlessly.
I’d still love to have a bit more mental horsepower, but I’ve come to realise that there’s a filpside: given time to think and respond in my own time, I can (sometimes) come up with something pretty good with detail or depth that others might struggle with.
For me, developing this awareness has been super helpful.
It’s allowed me to become comfortable with asking for more time to think rather than make an instant decision when the stakes are high.
But it’s also pushed me to challenge myself to develop the skill of moving quickly and being guided by instinct (improv class on the goals list for 2025…)
I’m curious – do you consider yourself a quick thinker or a slow (let’s say “deep”) thinker?

English

@chrisjmiller88 @Wirtz_Hive Absolutely ...do not concede the corner
English

@Wirtz_Hive Just look the delivery though. So much gets said about our set piece, but more often than not, the delivery is utterly world class and undefendable. The best way of stopping Arsneal from corners, is don't give us corners.
English

Genuine question though, how do you stop Gabriel from making these runs? Cos obviously teams would do their pregame homeworks on him and still get dunked

English

@Paul_SLG Ha ha, we know your game next you will telling us you are in putting flood protection ,ecology or even more something crazy like affordable housing
English

@ulyssesthethird Nope … you are going to have to help me . I can be but see a smiling happy junior school year photograph .
English

Seeing so much negativity again on here. Maybe I’m deluded but we took the game to the Italian Champions in their back yard and really didn’t have any luck at all. We should’ve won that game and the soft penalty decided it. I’m still seeing a very very good football team and not one bit concerned about our future. We’ll get there, just wait.

@MerryAlbright The council/VOA insisted that for council tax purposes our project was habitable with a *little work and therefore the 100% surcharge is due. We couldn't carry out the work as It was grinding its way through planning / listed building consent .*No bathrooms ,kitchens, windows etc.
English

@MalcolmCurtis It’s such a disincentive and needs revisiting and reimbursement. These properties are uninhabitable unless muppets like you and me invest (time, money & skills) so really I think we should not be charged at all to restore and create a habitable dwelling.
