@Someleze_ I’m Zimbabwean and pisses me off when I hear “ South African are lazy “ like MF who do u think built that country u are running to. And I wish modern women learn a thing or two from yesteryear women.. absolutely queens
English

They ploughed fields, built homes, raised children, and tended to livestock while their husbands worked in the mines.

@Mike_DumaX @Darkmatterh6nd Well there are different ways of looking at this. But the best lesson here is that ladies were not just “for the kitchen “. I could be used to inspire current n future generations of women in a positive light
English

@Darkmatterh6nd I don’t think Africa, Zimbabwe specifically really need this piece of history because it creates division. Yes history is good but its supposed to be told in some way to shape Unit for future generations.

Did you know Fidel Castro is considered a hero across much of Africa?

@maile_shima @matinyarare Why are u attacking a random person instead of the xenophobic person who is spilling hate and propaganda. This is guy is just doing for attention and what he is saying isn’t true

Sometimes citizens remain in a country because they are uneducated, uncompetitive, lazy and too poor to leave for better opportunities outside. Most South Africans would never survive outside South Africa where their grandmothers feed and clothe them while they sit, eat, drink, sh!t and make babies.
50% of Europeans are not living in their countries but in the U.S., Africa, Australia and Asia where they went to look for better opportunities. 1.2 million South Africans are living outside their country and most remain jobless and murdering and raping each other back home because they lack the education, money and knowledge to leave home. This is the legacy of bantu education, landlessness, inequality and poverty left them by Mandela.

Hopewell Chin’ono@daddyhope
The one whose citizens remain in their country is the one who left something for his citizens to stay for.

@GodwinMamhiyo This means we will go to 5 points and have to beat Sri Lanka.
Ireland might sneak through if they win their last game with a superior run rate.
English

@ny_emman That is brilliant news because those small “ african shops “ are to pricey.
English

South African Maize Meal is now popular in large UK supermarkerts like ASDA & TESCO (no longer confined to small African shops). South Africa is currently the largest agricultural exporter in Africa, reaching a record $13.7 billion in 2024, with exports spanning citrus, grapes, wine, and grains.

@curious_edline Sometimes I think there should be mandatory parenting classes. Because some parents, generally don’t know what they are doing and you could find that they don’t have a reference point maybe due to their own parents being bad at it
English

@curious_edline To an extent but times have changed. It’s closer to 50/50 now than it has ever been
English

@Malcolm_404 The reason was not about poverty but domination its common in pateiachal societies

@mcphail86 @DougieCritchley I agree with you but unlike the drafts that the players have little control over. The players that join Chelsea do have a say and still choosing them. So should we not question them instead?
English

@DougieCritchley It’s player hoarding. A strategy used in American sports during the drafts. It’s the equivalent of a wealthy property owner buying all the houses or shops on a street. They won’t lose value. FIFA and UEFA seemingly don’t care.
English

Jamie Gittens would have known there'd be a lot of competition when he signed for Chelsea.
They are pursuing a ruthless transfer policy, if you don't step up you'll be moved on fairly quickly.
But for a 20 year old looking to establish themselves in the Premier League, to see Xavi Simons, a player comfortable off the left, sign is one thing...
To then watch the club pursue Alejandro Garnacho, a year older than Gittens and with 2.5 Premier League seasons under his belt, is another player in his way.

English

@_realest__1 @daddyhope True!! Most people below 30 now think the current situation is normal because it’s all they have ever known. Only when they travel they start releasing the role of the government
English

@daddyhope I pray you keep this energy. We have an entire generation that do not know we used to have ZISCO steel, we had industry. They cannot comprehend how Zim was functional with good health & educational sectors. Between that & varakashi the space is crowded but we hear you.
English

2,500 Zimbabwean women die annually during childbirth due to the lack of maternity theatres, a consequence of ZANUPF corruption.
Over 4,009 women die every year from cervical cancer, and more than 10,000 from various types of cancer, due to the absence of radiotherapy equipment, again because of ZANUPF corruption.
More than 50,000 Zimbabweans die each year from various ailments because there is no proper healthcare system.
Thousands perish on the roads because the infrastructure is outdated and not modernised, a result of ZANUPF corruption.
Yet, when someone suggests that protests are the only solution and argues that elections don't and won't work, there are those who cry out, saying that this will lead to people being killed.
People are dying daily due to ZANUPF corruption, and stating this fact is not an incitement but rather an assertion that only protests will make ZANU-PF take notice!
It is important to recognise that inaction has more devastating consequences than protesting.
What causes more deaths protesting or inaction?
Why would anyone, logically, be so outraged when someone asserts that elections don't work and that only protests will, when it is a proven fact?
Why would you be so outraged when a citizen asks fellow citizens to reflect on this and say we can’t allow this to continue?
English

@PlatterTru16816 @uxobo @drDendere @daddyhope Don’t act as if you haven’t lost a friend or relative due to poor services. 🤡
English

@HeavenSend2 @daddyhope Very worrisome. What is to say if they come into power they won’t be zanu 2.0
English

I want to repeat this Tinashe, as a journalist I will always critique politicians. If you don’t like it, mute my handle!
We are fighting for democracy and not to simply replace ZANUPF with another version.
Engage what I have said and present a better argument!
If you feel that my critique is flawed, expose it and not engage in this business of defending politicians.
Imagine if each time I critiqued Mnangagwa I got this kind of reasoning!
What is wrong with what I said? Engage from there!
TINASHE NYAMUKAPA@tinanyams
@daddyhope Do you call your attack on Nelson Chamisa constructive criticism?
English

@JohnShumbairer1 @Cde_Ostallos But true, current climate imo doesn’t need this type of opposition. I think it needs a young energetic approach. Because the youth below (30) react to that.
English

@Cde_Ostallos In short we are saying there's no opposition in Zimbabwe that is fit to give the political space competition? Kubvuma defeat ka uku?
English

I agree prez, the Zimbabwean question demands a thoughtful and informed response, grounded in a nuanced understanding of the context and reality. Any meaningful intellectual discourse or academic inquiry must demonstrate a clear grasp of Zimbabwe's political economy post-Mugabe. Accurately assessing the regime's character and behavior is crucial to understanding the role of the Opposition and Progressive forces.
To truly comprehend our current situation, we must examine how we arrived here, including the erosion of citizen agency and the state's role in this process.
We must also scrutinize the demise of the Democratic contingent, encompassing civic society, the church, labor, and pressure groups. Furthermore, a critical analysis of political parties' roles is essential.
In believe that you Prez, as someone borne out of the working class struggles in Zim looked into these and it if for that reason that you say “we support all those who are trying in their small ways to put a dent on it in different ways”
Peter Gift Mutasa@MutasaPeter
My view If there is anyone who knows what must happen for the nation to get out of the dictatorship grip Let that man or woman come out & lead the masses out of this bondage Otherwise,we support all those who are trying in their small ways to put a dent on it in different ways
English

@deankarrachef @ssonaldo6 @S_Harudzibwi What is wrong with the comment ??
So a person can’t have an opinion?
Chamisa can’t be criticised??
What is wrong with questioning 🤨
English

@ssonaldo6 @S_Harudzibwi Nkomo said the youth shall liberate us , clearly not youth like you , spineless and ignorant . Bad combo
