As part of my ongoing long-term plan to rerelease all the Lands of Dream games in one place on Steam, I finally managed to recover some old project files from a dying hard drive. What a relief. I thought The Fabulous Screech might be lost.

@kaedencomic I remember the Fnaf 1 video he did which had the Golden Freddy jumpscare had a different title and thumbnail on release. I imagine it was changed to Golden Freddy when they realised how much buzz there was around it on youtube at the time.

@Demruth Agreed. Maybe it mattered back in the days of having Gamerscore on XBOX, but having something built for the game itself is much nicer. The signs in Antichamber are a much more meaningful way of showing achievement imo.

If you ever create a piece of art you feel is meaningful, you don’t have to go off and compromise it because everyone expects you to. It’s one of the parts you control!

When I first released Antichamber, Valve suggested I add achievements, because they would help boost sales. I didn’t care then, and I don’t care 10 years later. “But we, the community, like achievements!” Cool. I, the creator, don’t want them in my game. I hate 90% of them!

@JohnnyUtahNG It was the first Street Fighter I owned as a kid and I loved it. Especially linking Supers together in a single combo and going through the Expert Trials mode.

@Sosowski Have you looked into Image File Execution Options in the Registry? If you set a specific program to have a Debugger program that doesn't exist, it will make it not run.

The latest update make the process faster and the necromancer service will resurrect its friends within an hour. It tries to register 'asus-service' link to Microsoft store to be able to fetch apps quietly. Also, Optimisation service cannot be restricted to local user to work.

If you ever get an @ASUS laptop, you will be stuck in never ending spiral of bloatware trying to creep onto your computer. After uninstalling 10 redundant services every week, I decided to deploy dummy services occupying the same name. Hope this works because FUCK ASUS.

@DUSKdev I'm the exact same. I finished one of the Myst remakes a while ago and loved it, but I loved Riven even more. It took me like 2 years on-and-off to finish it, but the environmental storytelling is so good and the puzzles are great. Very satisfying to finish without a guide.

I still think Myst is great, but playing Riven now I'm just really impressed with how much they took what worked and made it even better. At some point now I'll have to finally play Exile and beyond to see how they stack up. Never actually played them.

Although I've played it a lot over the years if never actually fully beaten Riven until last night, and man what a masterpiece of a game. Myst will always be special to me but Riven is basically to Myst what Doom was to Wolfenstein 3d.

@Sosowski I love this game! It has a great mix of clicker and idle-based gameplay, with heaps of features that come along at a steady pace

Was looking for an idle game and found this ridiculous game called Realm Grinder where you grind coins just to get more coins. Got to a Vigintillion (2^63) coins and now the game wants me to repay 46 times from scratch for the next unlock. Apparently it takes 2600 hours to 100%!

@Sosowski Yeah see the thing with that is that I'm not sure it would benefit from a remaster? Like, the atmosphere is so intertwined with the look of the game, I have a hard time imagining a remaster would do that justice.

@terrycavanagh Andoku 3 on Android is also really good for teaching the techniques. They have difficulty levels and the tutorials are organised under each difficulty and what techniques you are expected to use. It also has handy examples of how to spot them.
