To MAGA parents out there, dealing with estranged kids: your kids didn't stop talking to you because of politics. They stopped talking to you because of your anger, your cruelty. In the end, it was easier to mourn my dad than continue to talk to him. I couldn't handle his rage.

That they were ok with him extorting a foreign nation, ok with him enriching himself off of the presidency, ok with him pardoning his buddies, taking national security documents, and showing top secret information to private citizens, ok with him threatening to execute our generals, ok with him siding with Putin, ok with him inciting a deadly attack on our Capitol to stay in power, ok with him being a business fraud, ok with him being an adjudicated rapist and ok with him being a convicted felon. They’ve told you they’re ok with the pathological lying, the idiocy, the amorality, the vitriol, the violent threats, the racism, the sexism & the xenophobia. They’ve told you they’re ok with him making fun of people with disabilities, ok with him calling women dogs, ok with him being cruel and ok with him being a bully. They’ve told you they’re ok with him separating children from their parents, even if it’s forever. And they’re telling you as we speak, that they’re ok with child sex trafficking. They’re telling you that they are ok with adult men having sex with children. And those of you who voted for this, who voted for them — those of you they say have now “handed them a mandate” in this election, have told them that you’re ok with all of it too. So, the question is… are you?

@nmerhar @gillu3 @Angry_Staffer I don’t have an answer for you, but can tell you that the childhood polio vaccine does not confer lifetime immunity. The spouse and I each just had to have a booster, along with other travel vaccines. Knowing that, I’m encouraging friends and family to consider boosting.

One thing I think people need to be aware of is the absolute torrent of bullshit we are about to see. Pay attention to what else is happening when the big distracting things - deportations, etc. - start. They’re going to try to flood the zone and ram it all through at once.
