Its the same situation of either the knife falls on watermelon or watermelon melon on knife, its the watermelon which is going to get sliced. It similarly is a situation where forecasters would ideally like to fail on early warning vs late.

This is so broad for a worst case scenario. And exactly the type of stuff that makes its way into the average person's social media feed that's not even thinking about weather. There needs to be a way to convey directly up front that 1/10,000 of the area outlined might see egg sized hail. Can't believe were doing this again less than a week later.

SUNDAY, March 22 could feature some hailstorms along the Ohio River and in southwestern/south central Pennsylvania. The Storm Prediction Center is now cautioning that a few rotating supercells with large hail potential are expected to form. IF a supercell can become established, it could produce large hail up to about hen egg-sized... roughly 2 inches across. Rotating storms are the most efficient at producing hail, and these will be rotating storms. Why a minimal tornado threat? Scant low-level moisture. It will be dry near the surface. If we pump more moisture north than originally expected, then a tornado threat could materialize. That's TBD.

All I would ask to consider is if someone is willing to get severe wx forecast on day of the event, would you have means to immediately implement safety precaution plans when warnings strike? There won’t be any blames passed to Meteorologists right?

Things on modeling have had rather dramatic changes in past 24 hours for Sunday's risk. Namely faster frontal arrival on some models, even stronger sfc heating with temps in low 80s vs mid 70s, better temp vs moisture profile aloft. Lets see if that trend remains into tomorrow.

I have heard a lot about Sunday potential storms, but be aware of fail modes. Ya you have good low level curvature and sufficient spin, but profile becomes quite saturated mid-upper levels. Impacts sfc heating and sfc based instability is already on marginal side to begin with.
