"Wiss came in with an injury. When you play for this manager, when you play for this team, the intensity is so high. Look at Anthony Gordon when he first came in. He got injured straight away because it's intense.
With Wissa, it's the same. You don't go scoring 20 goals last season and then coming in here and getting a lot of criticism from the outside. He's been injured. I think he needs another pre-season. Once he does, you'll see a total difference next season. That's for sure.
He'll bang in goals. He's another one who goes under the radar. He'll score goals. You just need to get up to scratch with how the manager wants him to play. It's demanding. You see it.
Next season, he'll be a huge threat for the football team."

What a season former Magpie Florian Lejeune is having at Rayo Vallecano.
He's been named in the team of the season by The Athletic, his side are in the final of the Conference League & sit in a European place in La Liga.
On top of that, Lejeune has won a new contract at Vallecano, despite being 35, for a further two years.
Another classic mismanagement by Steve Bruce at Newcastle.

Little NUFC angle here. Thauvin and Saint-Max started for Lens as they won the cup yesterday. Thauvin scored and was MotM.
If you ever get chance to see a game there, go. Quite similar to us in terms of fans and atmosphere. Passion is crazy.

Despite this, 6th in the Premier League with 3 Games remaining. Scored the 5th most League Goals (55). Only lost 7 League Games all season, as it stands. All this with one of the lowest revenue income streams in the League (Stadium seating capacity of approximately 11,307, which is insane).
