We kept electing politicians who promised 1. that they would balance the budget as they spent and taxed us more. 2. That promised we could have a just society by rejecting Jesus Christ and our faith. 3. That promised us that safety was more valuable than freedom. 4. That promised us that it was better if the state raised and educated our children, so moms could go to work and pay more taxes. 5. That promised us that diversity would make us more prosperous. 6. That promised us we could have our cake and eat it to-as long as we obeyed the state and rejected 2000 years of history.

“I’ve lost all hope.” That’s what a 23 year old licensed electrician making $90k a year told me today. It’s like this country isn’t meant for my generation at all.” As someone with two children basically the same age as him, I could only tell him that I agreed with how he’s feeling because I see hope being lost in my own home. Decision makers at upper levels of government has to help, and us at the municipal level need to continue to make positive urgent decisions to help with this crisis or I think we’re in deep deep trouble that will leave lasting negative impacts and consequences.
