I can't even say how wrong this tweet is. This young guy could become a brilliant cop. He'll catch a serial killer or rescue a woman from a violent home. He'll be the last one in the office looking at a case file. For now, he's starting out and he needs encouraging.
Lots of you know who he is. I didn't qt the video so I don't amplify it.
All I'll say is he chose to wear a uniform & serve the public knowing very well his life will be at risk.
Whilst he is doing this, his detractors are sat at home tweeting anonymously.
He has more courage.
@MannShots@ThomasF93619148@theJeremyVine Nobody respects the uniform. So you must be able to do more than just protect yourself. Or you end up turning a blind eye, which I have witnessed repeatedly
@MannShots@theJeremyVine Police have to be fit and strong they need to be able to restrain people, hence why there is fitness tests, training and they're given a few weapons to help them out.
@theJeremyVine People pointing out he looks puny, firstly they mean slim he could will be stronger than he looks and he'll also be stronger than 99% of female officers. Plus he can work on strength
@Brad_Clark7@GoldingBF Thats the entire issue. Should I need assistance, I do not want this computer geek showing up to save me from a violent assault. Another reason why you should never rely on the police, and have a means to protect yourself.
In fairness it’s not his fault I truly appreciate his resolve and commitment, and I feel for him. This is someone that wants to serve but who has not been given enough respect or honesty to be told no. This is what ‘inclusion’ and ‘kindness’ results in. Simply watering down the standards required to do the job.
@GBNEWS GB News have a vested interest in keeping the royal family relevant because they know it's what their old white, gammon viewership support.
They'll do anything to stoke a fight and make it tribal.
Revolting racism from the @guardian - using well-known anti-Semitic tropes against departing BBC Chairman Richard Sharp
The Goldman Sachs reference, the caricatured features, pig's head & the tentacles... Since deleted online, but still in today's paper. WTF were they thinking?
