If @0LNetwork feels different, it’s because Open Libra is different We are not yet another L1. We are a fully functioning blockchain with the same capabilities as the fastest chains today, but there is one major difference: We are not competing for higher transaction throughput or superior defi or consumer dapps. We leave that to all the other chains. We are competing on creating the fairest and most compliant capital formation framework, not just in crypto, but globally. Why? Because capital is the only thing that will survive each cycle of crypto while the vast majority of chains and dapps will fall into irrelevance. ... especially when AI hits its stride.

@JMilei Two things can’t occupy the same space. The real $LIBRA doesn’t need a government, a foundation, or permission. The other? Well, let’s see how long it lasts! Open Libra ftw!

Love the enthusiasm! Just so we're clear, Open Libra ( $LIBRA ) has been building for years - no shortcuts, no handouts, just the long game. There’s only one $LIBRA that stands on its own, with no masters, no backroom deals, no strings attached. If you’re looking for real independence, you know where to find it. Welcome aboard. openlibra.io.

Names get borrowed, narratives get rewritten, but the work speaks for itself. Open Libra ( $LIBRA ) has been the quiet force, building without permission, independent of politics, VCs, or hype cycles. If you’re looking for the signal in the noise, we’re right here. openlibra.io

@JMilei The only real $LIBRA is Open Libra! openlibra.io The world’s big enough for many things! But there’s only one $LIBRA built to last. Choose your names wisely, amigos. @0x0tt0x0 @0LNetwork

Open Libra has no CEO. No rulers. No shortcuts. No governance theater. Strong opinions are cheap—commitment is expensive. It answers only to those who show up, day after day, putting in the work. No bosses, no kings. Just builders earning their say with every block.

Bitcoin will continue to go up until we're long gone. I don't believe in shitcoins at all. Bitcoin has no CEO, it has 10,000s of people running nodes globally."

Open Libra: The Road Less Traveled A force of the public which has the capital necessary to make meaningful interventions, at the scale of the largest organizations in society. This requires independence, durability, and sense. Independent, Perpetual, Sensible OL looks different because it is different. Open Libra does not have a foundation, has no labs entity, no VC funding, and no ICO. Why not? Because, unlike the First In - First Out pump and dump schemes that litter the Crypto landscape, Open Libra has a clean regulatory and moral profile to serve our focused mission — perpetual funding for impact in society, independent of corporations, governments, and traditional finance of the day. The unique feature of digital assets is their opportunity to be perpetual, a highly misunderstood and underrated property. OL measures its plans in centuries, on much longer scales than you are accustomed to if you are in tech. But if instead the product is defined as independent and good capital, then a 100-year time frame is plausible. The next generations should expect there to exist an institution (more like a force of the public) which has the capital necessary to make meaningful interventions, at the scale of the largest organizations in society. Open Libra is five years in, and still pre-launch. Deliberately being principled, vigilant, and evolutionary. Forget Cryptocurrency, Think Open Titles The future lies in the thing that comes after currencies: durable capital which can accumulate entitlements, benefits, and rights over time. Digital titles that are both accessible and enforceable over generations, far beyond transient software versions and networks. Crypto makes a tacit promise: wealth while participating in what the future brings. We extend that further to create a product everyone would want to be a part of: to invite the 98% of the world who seek to participate in future themes of technology, social coordination, and build wealth through engagement with society. We ask difficult questions of the industry because, to us, the design space is clear, but the offers in the market are not. Learn more about our vision at openlibra.io. 2024: A Year of Resilience and Progress 2024 was a pivotal year for Open Libra. Reinforcing our commitment to the long game, the project undertook several strategic measures to solidify its foothold and secure the mission. We faced an exploit, a multi-step governance abuse which involved social engineering, deception, and transaction manipulation. This was not a software failure, but a breach of trust. This of course, is not a surprise, and neither an unexpected disappointment. OL goes slow in order to observe and correct the course. The abuse unfolded faster precisely because the exploiters began to take notice of the core founding team that was catching up to the evidence. The active community responded with an industry-leading forensic process that disabled 98% of exploited funds, demonstrating our commitment to fairness and justice in our community. The community has been clear from the beginning, that we do not invite or suffer that Open Libra is not for the 2% seeking quick wins at the expense of fellow community members. To address these challenges, a hard fork was executed and forensic tools were created, available at our GitHub repository, facilitating interoperability and expanding the Open Libra ecosystem. It took months to develop Forensic Db, a missing piece of blockchains. The comprehensive forensic database ensures project accountability and transparency. Where necessary, proper authorities in The Netherlands were also engaged to ensure regulatory compliance and proper legal standing. Learnings: Socialized Enforcement Unlike traditional blockchain projects with centralized governance structures, Open Libra enforces norms through four levels of socialized enforcement. When loose social consensus fails, you should expect to see several layers of enforcement: - Smart Contracts: Improve the binding of key policies of your community norms. - Social Slashing: Start a new network that reinforces the norms, move the party elsewhere. - Civil Legal Recourse: Utilizing judicial systems is fair game when Smart contracts are multi-party agreements. - Criminal Enforcement: Ultimately, criminal enforcement is reasonable against fraud and misconduct when a sovereign's laws overlap with ours. First In Last Out is Worth Fighting For One of OL's oldest founding beliefs is that First In First Out leads to abuse in markets (pump and dump). Many of our exemplary policies (Slow Wallets, Community Wallets) are explicitly designed with a goal of “First In, Last Out” principle. In 2024, we diverged from this norm, both intentionally by exploiters and unintentionally by distraction. Governance upgrades have been proposed and are in progress to ground us in this principle again. Looking Forward to 2025 and Beyond As the project sets its sights on the future, Open Libra will introduce several key initiatives in 2025 designed to reinforce its mission and expand its impact: - SlowWalletV2 Proposal: Enhancing security and longevity for long-term holders. - Project Nest Egg: An initiative that aims to transform Libra into a force for good by funding high-quality real-world businesses by effectively deploying capital through Community Wallets. By harnessing voluntary contributions, these wallets become a strategic asset, driving sustainable growth and innovation within the ecosystem. - Validator Bidding Optimization: Streamlining the validator selection process for greater efficiency. - Exchange Listing Initiatives: Community-driven efforts to expand accessibility and liquidity. Join Us The active community invite experts across disciplines who align with our mission and are committed to sustainable, long-term impact to join us: openlibra.io Carpe Diem ✊☀️

No safety net, no backroom deals, no VCs whispering sweet nothings in the dark. No insider allocations, no lifeline but time itself. Open Libra didn’t ask to exist. It insisted on it. It sat at zero for years, with no price, no promises, no artificial hands holding it up. Bitcoin born without permission. Open Libra walked the same barren road, zero for years, unshaken, unclaimed, waiting for no one. So ask yourself, anon: are you waiting to be handed something, or are you stepping forward to build? Because this isn’t a thing you consume, it’s a movement you join. A network to grow with. A network you become.
Daniyal@Danielkz

Open Libra Looks Different Because It is Different! No pre-mine, no ICO, no VC life support, just a vision, raw code, and conviction. Open Libra started at zero, stayed at zero, and built in the open. No hype, no shortcuts. Just time. Years in the wilderness, no treasury, no war chest, just a network forming out of pure persistence. No one handed Open Libra a future. It had to be built. The market speaks in its own way, and despite everything, it sees something here. Not promises. Not speculation. No one is coming to save you. No foundation, no dev fund, no bailout. If you’re here, you’re building, or you’re waiting for someone else to build for you. And if that’s the case, ask yourself why. Open Libra isn’t a thing you buy, it has not been sold to you, it’s something you become a part of, it's a network you join! It is a force to embrace. So don’t ask what it’s doing for you. Ask what you are doing for it.

Every great cycle had its dark days. Every legend had their long night before the dawn. And every true builder knows: the quiet times are where the real fortunes are made, not in the noise, but in the grind when no one’s watching, when the doubters are loud, and the exits are crowded.

They built their towers on promises of infinite growth, the *ecosystem* theater. Open Libra isn’t here to perform. We build for those who don’t need applause! Markets churn, narratives shift, but durable capital moves quietly, finding its way to those who see beyond the noise. Stay steady, anon, the drums of liberation are sounding!

Durable capital isn’t about chasing the next pump. It’s about positioning before anyone even realizes there’s a new game being played. It's about "good capital" that isn’t looking for exit liquidity, but for entry points into something bigger, something lasting. This is what Open Libra has been positioning itself for.

@RockyBalboaWins @ShogunMasterRoy Seems to me as if you didn't keep up with the updates over time. You shouldn't expect to be spoonfed with news... and as someone with influence, you could have voiced your opinion if you disagreed with the path it was taking. Also remember this is a community-driven project.

@Maphiuso @ShogunMasterRoy Bro, it's useless, everyone knows what was promised, not only me or @ShogunMasterRoy. A new bridge every month, CEX listings, dapps on $LIBRA, then an L2 (with dapps, leaving the main chain without dapps, switching the initial narrative) etc.

For the people asking me what happened to $LIBRA. I had a similar experience as @ShogunMasterRoy, there were only empty promisses, and bad communication. Yeah, probably we were used as exit liquidity. I sold my $LIBRA in a loss, when I could have sold the top for a 10x. I was stupid to trust an apparrently high standard project.

Apology & Exposé on $LIBRA's Bad Actors I want to clear the air about $LIBRA and the empty promises that were made to me and, by extension, to all of you who followed my lead. For those of you who invested because of me, I apologise. For months, I was fed false promises mainly by key figures like Yotam Katznelson (@mr_hemulin) who is also the CTO of @BackedFi linkedin.com/in/yotam-katzn… Yotam, who promised me over countless phone calls that: - A Layer 2 on $LIBRA would launch by August 2024 completely failed to deliver. - He also assured me that multiple CEX listings were “imminent" - That we’d see a new bridge released every month - That there would be "evergreen endowment wallets" for marketing, along with partnerships with universities and academic institutions. - Multiple dexs will be released imminently It’s clear now that all of this was just bullshit to create exit liquidity. There were also false promises from people like Marie Bahl (@bahlmarie). Marie was supposed to lead the marketing for $LIBRA, but like everything else, it was all talk no action. She even reached out to me with an influencer list and asked me to collect some too. I used my connections to try and help, but again, nothing came from it. linkedin.com/in/mariebahl/ Then there’s @Danielkz , who personally reached out when I doxxed Yotam in a previous post, telling me to delete it. I did so out of respect at the time, but now it’s clear it was all a cover-up. These guys didn’t want anyone knowing who was really behind $LIBRA because they never intended to build anything long-term. They used me to push their false promises, but when I started asking tough questions, they shut me out and even banned me from their Discord for following up on their failed commitments To top it off, when $LIBRA hit a penny, @Danielkz sent me a video of the Beatles’ “Penny Lane” with the $LIBRA logo, asking me to offer to promote it and I did. They were happy to use me for marketing, but the moment I started questioning their ability to deliver, they went silent. I’m down 7 figures because of $LIBRA, which sucks but what really bothers me is that I vouched for this project, brought my community in, brought other KOLs like @ElonTrades into this, and wasted their time only for $LIBRA to rug us all and their loyal community members who had been mining it for years. I apologise to my community and followers who trusted me and bought $LIBRA because of my posts. I was misled just like you. These bad actors don’t deserve your trust or your money. I can understand when an ETH utility launch goes south but a optically solid L1 with contributors like @zmanian its a big hit to the industry
