I opened IG this morning before coming to X and stumbled on a post that nearly made me laugh 😭 A lady said her friend called her this morning complaining that her husband had been acting strange since last night. According to her, the man came back home, freshened up, ate his food quietly, then told her: “Babe come to the room, I want to discuss something with you.” She said immediately she sat down, the man looked at her and asked: “Have I been treating you well as your husband?” She smiled and said: “Yes baby, you have.” The man paused… then asked again: “Is there something I’m doing wrong that you’ve been wanting to talk about?” She told him: “No… you’re fine. Apart from the fact that you don’t really open up to me. You keep things to yourself.” The husband immediately held her hand and said: “From today, I’ll start sharing what’s bothering me with you. After all, we are husband and wife.” Then he asked again: “Babe, is that all? No other complaints?” She said no 😭 Only for the man to casually go back to the sitting room to continue watching sports on DStv like nothing happened. Now this morning before leaving for work, he suddenly told her: “Prepare yourself, I’m taking you on a dinner date this Friday.” Omo… she said she was shocked because in their 10 years of marriage, this man has only taken her on a dinner date TWICE 😭 The man smiled, entered his car, smiled again before driving off. She said the whole thing has made her curious and suspicious because she feels like she’s suddenly seeing another side of her husband she has never seen before. So while she was explaining everything to her friend on the phone, the friend started laughing 🤣 She got irritated and asked: “What’s funny??” The friend simply replied: “Chike effect.” 😭😭

Tambuwal i a great guy. He is much likable and has many good friends across ethnic and religious divides. He does not have the crowd that Kwankwanso has. But he has elite consensus. In 2022 I was his head of strategy. I remember how badly we felt when he was asked to step down for Atiku. He would make a good president, but the opportunity has not come and may still come. Who knows. In 2023, I wanted him and Peter Obi to be on the same ticket. But it was not to be. And may never be. I retain high respect for him. He has shown great spirit by yielding to new kid on the block. He is young to wait or to excel in something else, meaningful. Best of luck

It was under Tambuwal governorship that we lost Deborah Yakubu by lynching by religious extremist in Sokoto state and they were charged with public disturbance instead of murder. The murderers were defended by 34 extremist lawyers led by Prof Mansur Ibrahim. They escaped the country nothing was done to them. Because of the same incident, Rhoda Ya’u Jatau, a 45-year-old Christian was sent to Bauchi prison for 19 months for condemning the lynching. I don't see how Tambuwal can become the president of a country with such mixed religion. He is dangerous!

We are benchmarking education in the South East with that of Singapore and Finland. In the coming days we become more radical with our education pursuits. Graduates from the South East will be global hot cakes. We will be the greatest workforce in Africa in 10 years.

Yes! But it should be a competition for mathematics teaching innovation methods. Because as mathematics teachers, I expect that they should already know mathematics. But I will be keen to assess their teaching methods, innovation introduced, how they use everyday matters in Alaigbo to impact knowledge. The goal is to train and expose the teachers who can grow the next generation of stem experts.

Gbajabiamila’s office. Abuja Private meeting. Desmond walks in smiling, wearing his best agbada. Desmond: “Oga good afternoon sir. You sent for me”. Gbajabiamila: “Sit down Desmond”. Desmond sits. Smile fades slightly. Gbajabiamila: “How many years have you been in Surulere Assembly?” Desmond: “Twelve years sir. Three terms”. Gbajabiamila: “And what did you build?” Desmond: “Sir I sponsored 11 motions, co-sponsored 42 motions, chaired four committees and….” Gbajabiamila: “I did not ask about motions Desmond. I asked what you built”. Silence. Desmond: “Sir I also produced a 198 page compendium titled My Surulere and I So Far”. Gbajabiamila stares: “You gave them a book”. Desmond: “A very detailed book sir”. Gbajabiamila: “Desmond, from Bank Olemo to Olawale Dawodu to Iponri to Masha, every community in Surulere is saying enough is enough. Not me. The people”. Desmond: “Sir those ones are just propaganda. I don’t even know them”. Gbajabiamila: “You don’t know your own constituents”. Desmond: “Sir I know the important ones”. Gbajabiamila sighs deeply: “Desmond I begged those people to take you in 2015. I personally went on my knees for you. Obasanjo called Tinubu. Tinubu called me. I called Surulere. Do you understand the chain of calls that put you in that seat?” Desmond: “Sir I am very grateful and that is why I am saying if I have erred in any way I am deeply sorry”. Gbajabiamila: “Erred in which way exactly?” Desmond: “Any way at all sir. Whichever one you feel”. Gbajabiamila: “You don’t even know what you did wrong”. Desmond: “Sir whatever it is, I am sorry for it completely”. Gbajabiamila rubs his forehead: “Desmond I have identified a replacement. Her name is Barakat Odunuga-Bakare”. Desmond: “Sir a woman?” Gbajabiamila: “Is there a problem with that?” Desmond: “No sir. I just… sir I have twelve years experience”. Gbajabiamila: “Twelve years of my experience. Not yours. Every road they praise in Surulere, I built before you got there. Every structure they point to, I laid before 2015. You inherited a structure and spent twelve years taking photographs in front of it”. Silence. Desmond quietly: “Sir what about my fourth term”. Gbajabiamila: “What about it”. Desmond: “Can I still contest?” Gbajabiamila: “This is a democracy Desmond. You can contest anything”. Desmond brightens up: “So I have your support?” Gbajabiamila: “I did not say that”. Desmond: “But you said I can contest”. Gbajabiamila: “And Manchester United can win the Champions League. Possibility and probability are different things”. Silence. Desmond picks up his agbada slowly: “Sir should I go and see Tinubu directly?” Gbajabiamila: “Tinubu is in Rwanda telling people to be transparent”. Desmond: “Rwanda”. Gbajabiamila: “Rwanda”. Desmond stands up, adjusts his cap: “Sir I just want you to know that whatever happens, you are my leader, my father, my political compass and my…” Gbajabiamila: “Desmond”. Desmond: “Sir”. Gbajabiamila: “Go and focus on your acting career. Nollywood missed you”. Desmond opens mouth, Closes it. Opens it again. Desmond: “Sir at least let me do a cameo in 2027”. Gbajabiamila: “This is not a movie Desmond”. Desmond: “Everything in Nigerian politics is a movie sir. I have just been the supporting actor for twelve years”. First time Gbajabiamila almost smiles. Almost. (My narration) 😂😂😂

That’s the problem: caring more about marriage than resolving issues hindering a successful marriage. A woman just left an unhappy marriage, and upon discovering she’s having an affair with an unmarried man, you people are now asking why she’s not married to him. You are not reflecting on the issues she raised. Issues like keeping malice, neglect, disrespect, adultery, gambling, or financial mismanagement are all deeply concerning in marriage that no man or woman should experience or carry into a new marriage. What you are more concerned about is, “who will marry her?” “Let her marry her lover, na.” “So he won’t marry her?” “Marry, marry, marry,” Na craze?

The last few months has been a tough and excruciating battle with my life. I am sure I have had to suffer more pains than the guy at the cross who asked Jesus for a place in his kingdom. For those who don't already know, I have a lump on my throat and it has grown to the point where it's now capable of eating my own blood. The lump, according to the series of scans I have done is called Lymphoma. In simpler terms, I have been battling Lymphoma. I have gone days where I couldn’t talk, days where I couldn’t move my body from the bed for the whole day, nights where I have had my life flash before my eyes just because I chose to pee, days where I have had constant blurry visions where I couldn’t see things or anyone clearly, this explains why I have stayed off Facebook because I can’t see for long. I am very weak. It’s the first thing you’d notice when you see me. I am being assisted to walk as I cannot walk on my own. In two months, I have fallen at different places that have sometimes resulted into injuries. How I am still alive, I do not understand it yet. The weakness is very evidenced in my voice, it has been the weakest it has ever been and my speech has become somehow incoherent. When I talk for over 30 seconds, I begin to gasp for air. I am sure some of those who have called me during this period will understand this better. I have emaciated a lot. I don’t even look like me anymore. I have been receiving treatment at the teaching hospital here in Uyo. I am scheduled for a biopsy soon, but I have to wait another week cus the hospital decided to shut down the hospital and send patients home after an issue that occurred at the hospital entrance yesterday. For those who don’t know, a biopsy is done to check if a lump is cancerous or not. So a mini surgery is required as they’ll have to cut a part of my throat to remove the small lump they need for the biopsy. The result of what the biopsy would be scares me a bit. First, because I don’t have the energy to go through cancer treatment after this horrible last two/three months. I really hope it’s not cancer so I can begin to prepare my mind for a major surgery instead. My family and friends have been supportive financially, emotionally, morally during this period. But I’ll be needing your help and support as they can’t do it alone. The biopsy and a possible surgery will cost me significant finances. I need your help. I already thought I’ll be dead by now. But I wake up to life every morning, surprisingly. And since the universe still wants me alive, please help me stay alive. Thank you very much. 7083295784 Ufonime Opay 6869773014 Ufonime FCMB I hope to return to Facebook again after all these. But I need to be okay first. At least get the blurry vision out of the way so I can see your updates on my screen again. I am thankful to everyone who has reached out one way or the other to ask about my well-being. I opened my Messenger app for the first time few days ago and I was overwhelmed at the plethora of new messages. I would attend to those messages as soon as I can gather enough strength. Thank you everyone. God bless you. If God wills, I will be back. Please help Hufon Hime survive His Before. After Photo below 👇
