@stanmccune @GiantsNationPod His age doesn't change that he is a rookie. He might be more mentally mature, but he is still a rookie in the NFL. I also disagree that he didn't improve. That D coaching staff was not good. Tough conditions to improve in, but I saw improvement at the end of the year.

He got probably more playing time than he deserved based on his play. I disagree that players get written off too fast. He was a 25 year old rookie. This is different than Flott who was drafted at 19 and needed a few years to learn. Alexander may become something, but he did not improve much his rookie season, so if he does become something, he will be an outlier. How many times have you seen a 26 year old suddenly make a leap in the NFL? It's rare.

@FrankTic3 This started last year with one big signing. Doesn't seem like fans want to acknowledge it. 2 years ago was one of my favorite teams ever. Needed pitching. Signed Soto. Last years chemistry was terrible. Clear divide in the dugout. This year is the continuation. Core gutted.

I been a Mets fan for over 40 years. I’ve seen some really bad teams over the years. I never hated any Mets team no matter how bad. I am beginning to hate this team. It doesn’t have an identity, no chemistry, character or heart. Depressing to watch tbh. Stearns changed the core of this team. This is on him. #LGM

@art_stapleton Dex doesn't get replaced by one guy. He gets replaced in the aggregate. We don't necessarily need DTs to be good pass rushers, we need them to eat blockers to let the other guys work.

Sixth-round pick Bobby Jamison-Travis is the Giants' replacement for D.J. Davidson or, maybe, Nacho. BJT is not a replacement for Dexter Lawrence. Might challenge him on the scales, but he's not the guy to compensate for the trade of Dex. If you hear that, consider the source.

@DanSchneierNFL I feel like this is so obvious that I get frustrated when the 'draft capitol' idea only allows for certain positions to be drafted high. Olines make a team go. We've seen it over and over.

@DDuggan21 He has had 1 really good season with some bumps, and 1 injury season. He is supremely talented, but he needs to put a good season or 2 together. You aren't just anointed #1, you have to earn it. That's the NFL.

Nabers will be eligible for an extension after this season. That promises to be an interesting process

Can't wait to see what Maiugoa does for the Giants run game, both Skattebo and zone read with Dart -- even Tracy (who I find very underrated) from the right guard position. He can play tackle, and ultimately will. But he may be an even better guard.

@GiantsNationPod If Reese is playing LB, and they can get Reese, Burns, Carter, & KT on the field on 3rd down, that could be a formidable pass rush.

@JasonMcCourty Hopefully him, Burns, & Carter are all guys that have to be accounted for. I got excited for that last year, but it didn't really happen.

He’ll love being in that LB room with Frank Bush! Great coach who guys love playing for! Hopefully he can become the guy that the QB has to identify where he is every snap!
