As I have gotten older, I’ve changed how I view athletes. Westbrook was someone who frustrated me for years. Then, I came to realize, he’s never cheated the game for one second. He plays as hard as anyone ever has. He’s never once gotten in trouble off the court. He seems the be great husband and father. And, you hear all types of stories about him helping in the community.
I’m a big Westbrook fan now.

I’m not jumping to conclusions, but let me say this. Fans and media be quick to label a player “injury prone” We don’t choose to get hurt… sometimes shit just happens. Y’all don’t see the rehab, the pain, the mental drain it causes. That process can make you lose yourself. This shit is real. No matter how much support you get, you still gotta fight that battle alone.
Prayers up for Rondale Moore and his family. He was a baller, no question.

Rondale Moore suffered back to back season ending knee injuries in 2024 and 2025. This photo was taken right after his second ACL tear back in August. Now, it’s been reported that he’s passed away. He was just 25 years old, man 😔

He’s driving home, music low, mind on tomorrow’s plans. Out of nowhere, another vehicle suddenly cuts him off. There’s no time to brake, no space to swerve. In a split second, metal collides, and a normal day turns into a fatal accident. One impulsive move from someone else changes multiple lives forever. It’s terrifying how fragile life is behind the wheel. We control only our own driving, but sometimes that isn’t enough. It’s a sobering reminder that patience and caution aren’t just good habits, they can be the difference between life and irreversible loss. How often do we realize that a single reckless decision on the road can permanently alter families, futures, and everything in between?

A man is driving home, casually talking to his wife, the conversation completely ordinary. Then, in a split second, everything changes, a crash out of nowhere. The car jolts violently, airbags explode around him, noise and dust filling the cabin as reality hits all at once. Situations like this are sobering. One second you’re in routine mode, the next your life is shaken, literally. It’s a powerful reminder to stay present, drive carefully, and never take “just another drive” for granted. How quickly do we forget how fragile every normal moment really is?

Sam Houston State's 6'3 Kashie Natt has been an absurd defensive catalyst at the MM level this season. He's averaging 10.3 PPG, 7.3 RPG (which ranks second in D1 for anyone shorter than 6'5) 2.3 APG, 2.9 stocks per game on 45/44/77 splits Natt's combination of tier a athleticism and motor, really is what stands out. Mentally he's tougher than most players at his level and when you combine it with elite athleticism, you get what is one of my favorite defenders in D1. (@KashieNatt1)

One of the toughest things to do post football is finding comparable ways to compete like this. To fill that void. Your body may be broken. Different pains and ailments may exist. But that desire to compete doesn’t fall off like your body does. I miss this type of stuff.
