@francistennn I think with Klay you can point to often getting replaced by Iggy to explain his defensive number being meh and playing with Steph and KD for not huge offensive swings, but I have harder time seeing it with Parker. I guess there is the Manu factor

@MarcRobins50303 i think both of their impact shows in the numbers; there’s just a bit more contextualizing involved if you want to get a full picture of their highend value

just using them as a template: klay-types who can absorb real volume give dray-types who can’t absorb volume themselves something to accentuate at scale, and it’s why high-ceiling players often need parkers/welkers/klays doing uglier labor and sacrificing their body for the cause

@francistennn So is there something your seeing in the lineup data then? Parker has one Top 30 O-Darko and one Top 30 3yr ORapm season. Klay looks better, particuarly pre-KD but I feel like there is mismatch between the numbers or general perception.

@SportsandMath1 For sure I could do more granular than each quarter. The challenge of course is every game having a different number of plays.

Something new I've been working on: each team's average win probability throughout the course of their games. Nice visualization to see how the Bills and Broncos rely on 4th quarters, the Bears are a rollercoaster, the Rams and Seahawks are in a league of their own, etc.

FYI - I am still honoring what I said on this. If you post a picture of your copy of Basketball beyond Paper, I'll send you the formulas for the Four Factors Accounting in there that uses box score stats. It didn't quite make the book because I didn't quite solve it in time.
