You can see the Gronk/Jimmy/Olsen/Gonzo TE slot era, and then speed slots and power slots exploded again during the height of the Spread Coast era.

@willramyou Give it a rest man. Do I think the Seahawks are stacked at WR? No. But Shaheed, Horton, Bobo, and White are certainly all better than whoever you put 3rd after Puka and Davante.
It's possible to be a fan of a team and also acknowledge that they have areas of weakness.

The Rams are taking a big gamble on Puka Nacua's availability in 2026 by passing on both Makai Lemon and Kenyon Sadiq at pick 13.
Not only does he have a history of injuries since entering the league, but he's also been recently involved in drama off the field.
Risky business.

The idea that the Rams should have punted on a future QB they love in the name of a “win-now” WR is shortsighted and foolish. No rookie can be expected to swing his team’s championship probability that much.

The fact there is even a chance the Seahawks came out with the best draft in the NFC West despite starting with only 4 picks and picking at the end of every round and couldn’t trade back from 32 is wild. Chart: @RNBWCV

Was talking to @tejfbanalytics about massive steals and massive reaches and the idea that when players fall multiple rounds there is probably signal there that the consensus doesnt have access to (see: medicals)
When you strip those out, the hit rate on steals separates even more through pick 100 or so.

Draft picks are different than trades. I like the trade for McDuffie. I don't like their draft picks. Separate entities.

@willramyou Summarizing Walker's career as "SB MVP" is overstating his value. We all know it was Macdonald and the defense that won that Super Bowl. He got paid Jonathan Taylor money by the Chiefs despite never having 1100 rushing yards in a season. Seattle dodged one.

@willramyou Draft a QB on Day 2 or Day 3 and develop him while he waits for Stafford's retirement. Spend a first round pick on a position of need or take BPA. Rams WR room is thin. Adding Bain to the edge room would have been nasty. Lots of better options.

I will not be gaslit into thinking that the Simpson pick was McVay and not Snead. We all saw McVay's body language when asked about the pick.
You think a head coach would rather be 9-8 for four years or win a Super Bowl and go 3-14? This is a GM investing in future job security.
